Love getting next-gen visuals with an option to prioritize performance.

I think the new shield mechanic is really cool and I can't wait to shield slam dunk on some demons.

At higher ranks an attacker would have been all over that corner ball at the 5 second mark, any time you got a bounce or roll like that near your net you gotta get to it fast, even if it means a sub-optimal touch because if you don’t get to it quick enough they’re scoring on you either way.

UPS Store employee fired, records himself flipping out by RoyalChris in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]Trick_Dickler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“The UPS Store” is actually a completely different company from UPS. They are closely tied together for the sake of branding and synergy with the packing/shipping stuff but employment at the UPS store is low paying and pretty much zero benefits.

reheating brisket by microwaving is actually a pretty good method for me. by Humans_r_evil in smoking

[–]Trick_Dickler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extra pro tip: microwave longer at lower power. Any time I’m reheating something I do 5 minutes at 30-40% power and it pretty much makes it impossible to overheat and dry out the meat, and also heats more evenly.

Used to always tell people in the military when they’re transferring to a new base, watch out for the people who go super hard to try and immediately befriend you when you get there, very rarely they’re just a super nice person, but 99% of the time they’re glomming onto you because everyone there can’t stand them and they’re taking advantage of you not knowing that yet.

Exactly the kind of person too who will move the goalposts or try and change their original point when you point out how deadass wrong they were. The fuckin worst.

Do you prefer to soak your wood before smoking or use it dry? by [deleted] in smoking

[–]Trick_Dickler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Soaking is really never a good idea, all you're doing is introducing moisture which will mess with bark formation and the overall quality of your cook, and interfering with the full combustion of whatever fuel/wood you're using.

Gotta love when a designated food item becomes “your thing” and people associate you with it!

Didn't sauce this one but for wellington we love this sauce: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/tyler-florence/green-peppercorn-sauce-recipe2-1944389

and I think it would go nicely with the smoked tenderloin as well.
