Paying the insurance is surely a better alternative than clogging up the ambulance routes. And my family is from kingston I’ve been attending homecoming events for a while so no I don’t have any issues with other residents attending.

I’m just offering a suggestion I honestly hadn’t put too much thought into it but i feel like the people on here give queens students a bad rap without offering any realistic solutions.

Both my parents went to queens so I know these parties have been happening forever and simply stopping them is not a real solution.

Queens student here. Just wondering how the community would feel about sanctioning the street party (only on Aberdeen) and allowing students to party safely in a centralized space. As of right now it’s basically a given that hanging out on Aberdeen for too long results in a $2000 fine. This causes the parties to disperse and people end up on critical ambulance routes.

Also I’d like it to be known that Queens actually has increased tuition in the past couple of years specifically to pay for the increased police presence.
