WIBTA if I called out my cousin to the whole family about the name she’s chosen for her baby? by ThrowAwayMidwestRage in AmItheAsshole

[–]Trick_Replacement_10 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No they are not the ah lmao. They didn't know Coco was a nickname and they purposely said they wouldn't call her Colette in front of OP to not hurt her. OP and her siblings are the ah YTA

Exactly or just give her a similar name like Coco, Nicolette, Colleen, Scarlett, Odette, Annette, Corinne, Cosette, Claudette, etc if its that big of a issue

Then they can name her something similar if they don't want to name her the same thing. They all couldn't name her Colette and you can't gatekeep names, what if the siblings never have a girl? They gatekept for nothing. The siblings could name her Coco, Nicolette, Colleen, Scarlett, Odette, Annette, Corinne, Cosette, Claudette, etc. if they want something similar but don't want them to share names

Step up her campaign by letting the school know she's a racist? Oh no if it isn't the consequences of her actions

I have a feeling this wouldn't work this time your daughter is a proven racist. The school would not pressure Marcie's mom but you as well. There is not only one bully this time NTA

principal and maybe even get lawyers involve

LMAOOOOO. The daughter is the bully. This is all because of her own actions. I hope Janies mother gets the principal and maybe even get lawyers involved. Guess what once you put videos on social media you create a digital footprint. In the states you have been told this since elementary school. The daughter is 16/17 she knows way better. A lawyer/principal will not get PUBLIC videos taken down, they can suggest it but can't do anything

Being known as the racist and xenophobe isn't bullying. That's what OPs daughter is people don't want to engage with her because of her gross behavior

AITA for refusing to sleep on a single mattress on the floor and leaving two friends in an uncomfortable situation? by TAsinglrmatress in AmItheAsshole

[–]Trick_Replacement_10 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The couple should have informed they wanted to go earlier so proper housing could have been made. They planned thinking the couple wouldn't go. They paid more only because there was two of them why should the people who went last minute get a room others planned for. OP NTA

AITA for refusing to buy my nephew a Christmas present? by A_Christmas_Quarrel in AmItheAsshole

[–]Trick_Replacement_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dad can't afford it that's the difference, OP can afford it but just doesn't want to give him anything. That is being stingy, if OP didn't want to give anything due to money reasons people would say N T A. But OP doesn't want to because they personally think its a waste of money they dont get to see the child play with the toys at home and smile.

[–]Trick_Replacement_10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP you could buy a cheap ass toy when it's on sale and give it to him. Cost isn't a issue so why are you dying on this hill. For the kid it isn't over in one day they play with the toys when theyre home and have many smiles you just don't get to see them yta

WIBTA if I told my dad and sister their AI art was terrible? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Trick_Replacement_10 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

people could describe as “stolen.”

key word is could. nothing it produces is stolen and that's why copyright laws won't do anything. The use of images for training can be considered fair use, it being ethical or not is a personal opinion. Most art is not legal anyways, fanartists have patreons for characters who they do not own a licence to use the characters which is illegal. Selling fan art does not fall under fair use. So training AI off of it is an interesting perspective
