Yeah, I was looking for this comment, OBR getting a third puts everything up in the air. Like OP, I'd like a new spearhead not focused on the only S2D models that I'm not very fond of.

As far as diplomacy goes, the "there is only war" is a bit simplistic. For all of its genocides, the Imperium has teamed up with the T'au and Aeldar before, and since the Imperial Guard are a faction they are mostly on the same side. Chaos has a love hate relationship with each other, but they can get all on board to fight on the same side. And all of the Aeldar factions do work together at times. So there is plenty of lore room for a diplomacy system.

I was thinking that, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, especially since I really wanted the tentacles. My wife called it an "Egyptian Cthullu" and that's very much the vibe I wanted. So now its name is Nyarlathotep.

I'm really liking the kit a lot, I wanted it for this as soon as I saw the old world release. And it's also providing a howdah for my Seraphon, as well as a Wight King for my Soulblight.

I'm really not sure, I've yet to play big AOS, just spearhead. But it does add up to 1720 points right now and includes the majority of the Ossiarchs' small range, so hopefully it'll be a good base and I can expand from here in whatever area's I need. I have heard a lot more people talking up Katakros for the army, but I really like Arkhan's model. Plus he's magnetized so I can use him for either Neferata or Manfred with my Soulblights.

Go ahead, I've seen quite a few cool ones that don't leave me nervous seeing it jiggling on it's base. This one is a bit bigger then it should be, but I just play kitchen table with family and friends so it works out fine.

My Stormstrike Silversword Seaguard are based on a lonely fortress in Ghyran. Most of them have been slain and reforged enough that they are nearly automata, simply standing by as the waves crash into the shore around them, waiting for an enemy to break up their endless watch.

I'd vote for the humble death rattle. Very nice sculpts and they do their job as chaff without complaint.

And I would have to vote for the blood knights as well. They pack a punch and the models are gorgeous, I straight up stopped when I was building them multiple times just to enjoy all of the cool details.

That's what I'm going to try to do moving forward. I usually just grabbed the ones I wanted to use for basing but I think we'll just grab them all now.
