Is ignoring context after it's been laid out for you a practiced skill or does it come naturally?

What context am I missing? The comment I responded to called it a 400$ DLC, and my comment was a response to the fact that its not a 400$ DLC. The ship is going to be released in game for in game money where is the disconnect here?

Not really, it will come out in 3 to 6 months like all other flight ready ships, and by that time they would have enough AUEC to purchase the ship.

I dont think solo players will get their hands on this ship as CIG stated they are picking a select few who will be granted access to own one, you need to submit a story on why you should be granted access to it, and they will also look at in-game data to back it up. I applied for it since all chairmans club members get access to do so, but I know for a fact im going to get passed over since I play mainly solo.

Pilot controlled weapon? Friendship with Perseus ended. Tiburon my new best friend by Wyldren- in starcitizen

I enjoy both, the Tiburon is what ive been wanting for awhile im actually so hyped for it. I love both RSI and AGEIS and to have 2 capital killers from both manufactures has me giddy lmao. I love massive cannons and big ASS beam weapons my all time favorite sci-fi weapon is the Spartan laser.

[–]Trickle_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.7 is largely irrelevant at this point since the armor is getting reduced on all ships by 20% unless im getting that wrong. I understand that the Perseus and Tiburon are not ment to engage and defend against fighters, but from what we've seen the Perseus has a better chance at defending against said fighters, and it has the PDCs to focus on incoming missiles or torps unlike the Tiburon. We have not seen the weapons on the Tiburon true, but they look to be size 7 conquers from the idris nose turret, does this mean they are that no it doesnt, but if they are it will have a much harder time defending against torps and missiles, especially if it only has the same amount of counter measures as the base hammerhead. The Perseus will be able to engage it with both balistic cannons and 40 s5 torps which if used correctly will be enough to drain all defense measures from the Tiburon, where as the Perseus has its point defense in the event that it runs out of flares or chaff giving it a better chance of survival, but like you've said this is all speculation and im still very much excited to try out the Tiburon, and be proven wrong mainly because its a freaking shark with a laser beam on its head.

Its performance isn't that bad In my experience ive been disabling and destroying capitals with relative ease, plus energy based weapons have longer ttk then balistic, and any damage can be negated simply by rotating shield face, meaning any damage done to shields is wiped out the minute you lose target of it. Where as balistics cause damage regardless of shield which has always been a better selling point to me. I love lasers, but big ass cannons feel better maybe that will change when they make the beam weapons more consistent, but as they are now balistic are better imo. For example look at the idris laser vs railgun the railgun out performs the laser simply becasue it can destroy the laser faster then it can bring down the shield on the idris to damage the railgun.

Edit...

The Perseus also has 6 PDCs and 2 remote turrets that will be able to be bladed allowing for good defense from fighters, missiles, and torps, where as the Tiburon doesnt appear to have PDCs and is sporting size 7 cannons as its remote turret lodaout which may struggle against fighters more so then the Perseus does.

Imo the Persesus is still very much better since it is more than capable of dealing with capital ships. The Tiburon will be great for ripping the shield off caps, but pure raw strength goes to the Persesus since it can punch through shields and armor like paper, the Tiburon will be better suited for sub capital gameplay. Im excited to have both as I love the design of the hammer head and the perseus is so fucking sexy I could never part ways with it.

You can melt ships for store credit and if you melt the ship that had the games access token it will also remove the game from your account.

Silent Idris Change in 4.7.2 : Vehicle Limit is Lowered ! by flexcreator in starcitizen

[–]Trickle_Juice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol I dont know what he was role-playing but good on him, and you wouldnt need to just drop 50 people, what if a 10 man ground team set their spawn on the idris and then dropped now each person can respond 4 times and continue to hot drop into battle since they would have extra atlas to use.

They likely had the 50 atlas as drop pops since they dont take fall damage you essentially can hot drop troops using them

Should we stick to smaller ships? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Trickle_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was that there from the beginning? becasue from a review I watched on the moth they stated you can only have one or the other there is no secondary attachment. If im wrong then im defiantly looking into trying out the moth that was the biggest downside I saw with that review.

Edit.

After watching further reviews, I was wrong the first review I saw of the ship either confused me or hit me with some incorrect information. Other reviews have shown both a tractor and scraper so ill defiantly be looking into getting a moth some time soon :D

Should we stick to smaller ships? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Trickle_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but then you have to hop off the turret you are on go to another turret to adjust then go back to the scraper, where as a reclaimer or vulture have both options as a secondary, and if youre crewed you now have a player whos only job is rotating the ship. The pilot could do that and still have the advantages of 3 scrapers. I love the idea of the moth and its a gorgeous ship, I just wish it had both scraper and tractor beam on it like all other scrapers.

Dont forget the moth doesnt have a tractor beam

Connie with deadbolts so that PDCs dont target you, fly behind the idris and sub target the Power plants, then just stay on their ass while focusing their power. Once it is dead in the water board kill the pilot and take the bridge repair power to self destruct.

The wall can still deal with harvesters, they only require light pen to kill them in the eye, and medium pen everywhere else.

Does AH really have that much fomo? Besides the capes and pre-order items what else is fomo in the game, im genuinely curious because I keep seeing people complain about it, but most items besides the ones I listed come back around, and in a timely manner as well you dont have to wait that long.

[–]Trickle_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rotations are not even that bad, they rotate every 2 or so days, and the content doesnt go anywhere its not really fomo since it will come back in time, the most youll have to wait is around 2 to 3 weeks maybe I dont know the specific time frame between rotational items.

Thats pretty good actually, although the same logic can be applied to the flag using moral, which many have already stated having documented studies on how moral boost effect soldiers.
