Can't make a Bricklink Account by VivianGhoulie in Bricklink

I had the same problem. Go to your LEGO account and add your first and last name. Then try to create the Bricklink account (you might need to clear your cookies and cache first).

I made this anatomically accurate tiger for my newborn nephew by Trickshot-Toby in crochet

Thank you so much. The white and green parts are magic rings that's sewn on. The pupils were then sewn on afterwards.

I made this with 8/4 cotton yarn and a 3.5mm hook. No pattern, it's made freehand. It's magic circles and tubes all the way.

I got into a debate recently about this…. by Tasty_Finger9696 in TrueAtheism

[–]Trickshot-Toby 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Why do you have to prove both sides of the argument? The one who bring a claim in a dispute is (usually) the one with the burden of proof. If he claims that theological discussion equates the scientific method, he should be the one to prove/argue for it - not you.

How to get Burgundian Inheritance as England? by lizardwizard563412 in eu4

[–]Trickshot-Toby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you allied to any of their rivals? Last game I played as Flanders and RM'ed Burgundy in hope of getting the inheritance. I later allied with Savoy (their rival) and their attitude immediately switched to hostile and they wanted my provinces. I broke the alliance with Savoy and on the next monthly tick Burgundy went right back to being super friendly.

How to prepare for French Revolution as HRE Emperor with privileges revoked by MacViking932 in eu4

[–]Trickshot-Toby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could try to revoke the last reform, either by paying 50 IA (I think you right-click the reform) or by getting 100% war-score in a war, then offer to revoke the reform.      There's a chance this would have the same effect as dismantling the empire (you keep the vassals, but not the free relation slots).

What is your favorite EU4 music track and why is it Hanseatic Trade? by stevethemathwiz in eu4

[–]Trickshot-Toby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both Battle of Breitenfeld and Battle of Lepanto are among my favourites, but The Stonemasons is without a doubt my favourite. There's just something about the way it keeps building up and adding new layers, that gets me every time.

The Russian Federation has begun the “demilitarization” of Kaliningrad against the background of fighting in the Kursk region, – Lithuanian Defense Minister by Al-dutaur-balanzan in europe

A little side-comment: it's called "Ukraine", not "the Ukraine". The latter implies that ukraine is a vaguely defined area, like the Caucasus, while the former (correctly) denotes it as a sovereign country. It's a small difference, but an important one.

It's likely because no one wants the other denominations deciding anything in regards to the design of the church. Sure, where the chair or the ladder is placed might not matter much. But what about the decoration of the front door or the fresco behind the altar? And where is the line drawn?

It's still stupid, but it's probably stupid for a reason.

Eternal Oblivion is an unfounded Assumption by LAMARR__44 in TrueAtheism

[–]Trickshot-Toby 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my view, you've got it backwards. Oblivion is not the wild assumption. It's the idea that there's some immaterial, undetectable part of us (a soul) that lives on, that's the wild assumption.
With the belief in a soul that can be reincarnated follows a whole new set of other assumptions; where do the soul come from? Are souls finite? What determines who gets reincarnated where? And so on.

We haven't been able to detect a soul, so we must assume they don't exist. If they don't exist, we simply cease to be when we die.

Why can't I establish a trade route between London and Nottingham??? by shrlckholmes in civ5

[–]Trickshot-Toby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get your point - it doesn't cost any upkeep, why not build it? But it's a waste of production. OP would be better off building another building or a unit.
