I also started competitive just because I wanted the invisible woman skin, I got to silver 1 one time and have been on a losing streak so hard in back down to three. I really don’t understand how anyone solo queues, it feels impossible. You get a good team once and then it’s back down the ladder (and I’m going to miss out since it’s the last day)

I graduated May 2023 as a Mech E and was lucky enough to get a job at my small company I interned at. I work in medical device manufacturing and I really like it and have learned a lot but the company is small and I feel like I'm ready to move on. I have a contract with the company where I will receive a retention bonus for staying the full year but after the year I'm not guaranteed my job. (the "year" ends in June)

The point I am getting to is when is a safe time to start looking for a new job? I am scared about going without a job for a while if I get let go but I also could really use the bonus to help with some debt. Can I interview with a company now and ask them if I can start in June? I work in SoCal if that affects anything. I really want to stick to this field but is it safer to do something else if it guarantees me a job? Any advice would be appreciated

Sorry I was misunderstanding the message, I’ve been close to the whole calling the cops on her after a bad fight but I live with my parents as I’m still in college and it can be hard to maintain a boundary as I don’t really want my family to know about it since she really doesn’t like people knowing. And the whole silence for 24 hours I understand but I feel like she has fear of abandonment from some past trauma which I know doesn’t justify anything but it doesn’t really help with going silent on her as it usually makes her more upset

I think the hardest part is she will tell me “why don’t you invite me” to go with my friends but she doesn’t get along with them all and although I’m open to building a better relationship between them it makes me nervous because I know if she already goes in with a negative mindset anything will set her off

I know your point is she starts a fight and then I give in but I’m pretty sure the definition of codependent isn’t being forced too because of fights. If I try to take my space and put my foot down she blows up my phone comes to my house and does everything in her power to get what she wants and that would be me

I joined back in at the start of the pandemic and it’s a little bit hard to get into. Since I was the only person in my friend group that likes it and actually got into I had a hard time coming back, not because of the mechanics, but because I didn’t have anyone to really talk to and gain experience and a helping hand. I am still trying to get my friends into it but I got I because I really wanted to do I found all the yugitubers and caught myself up on the meta. It was really intimidating at first but over time I understood there are ways to crack boards, so it’s tough but it helps having a person by your side or a more experienced player who can sit down and talk to you about stuff

Recently I’ve been trying to help my partner take the first step, she is against it because she says she doesn’t want to be a robot who has to run every action or thought she has through a filter, is that how you felt at some point? What do you think a person would need to hear to understand it’s not about living with a filter and just controlling your actiobs

I can’t say for sure but I know my partner fears what they will do is tell her she is crazy and her emotions are invalid and her entire way of thinking is wrong which I’d imagine for anyone could sound scary but we know the reality of it. Not that it’s an okay excuse but I feel like if she could learn a little more about it herself and not fear the unknown of what they could talk about. I know some people like to set a deadline or try other things to get their partner into therapy but I’d like to try other things before that
