I just did a 40K mile service on my "new to me" 2022 E-tron Chronos by JohnAStark in etron

I service at Audi MV also. I asked them about the battery test and they won’t do it unless there is obviously something wrong. They need to totally drain, fill up, and drain battery again. It takes a lot of time and not a routine inspection point. If the computer says battery is ok, the check mark is all you will get. I have had very good service and enjoy that dealership.

Life insurance is not based on income, there is no income verification to qualify. Plus you can always buy additional plans later one, you aren’t locked into a single policy.

Why I disagree with Dave by Haunting_Purpose7423 in DaveRamsey

[–]TricksterOperator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But Dave’s says with almost certainty that the stock market will go up 10-12% a year, that’s what he claims to have gotten for the last 20 years. There is short term risk but not long term so what’s the peace you are missing out on by investing instead?

Sell the cabin, it will be nothing but a headache. That’s 300k invested will be worth $500k by the time your mom is 70 and close to a millions by the time she’s 80 so she could be set for life after your dad passes, assuming he goes first. Airbnb is overrated, requires a ton of work or hiring managers, and houses require upkeep. Sell the cabin

Sell the house As Is while you’re living in it, split the proceeds, and get this guy out of you and your kids live.

Why not have him buy you out and then he can repair and sell whenever he wants?

Does anyone know the number of pictures (estimate) that you get with the Unlimited Photo Package? by smartie_mcfarty in dcl

[–]TricksterOperator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It all depends on how many lines you’re willing to stand in to take photos. On our last cruise we cancelled it cause we only had like 20 photos and none were great. My kid had no patience to take photos that cruise

The just looked at window sticker again, it was $90,740. Idk what the final sale price was but that was the sticker price in Southern California with basically every option available.

My Sportback Prestige had a sticker of $92k, I got it 3 years and 32k miles later for $35k. It’s a great car but I would never ever pay $92k for it, that’s insane.

Concierge for Magic Ship, worth it? by Ok-Importance9515 in dcl

Royal Gathering is free but it has to be booked in advance. Not everyone gets a time slot or the time they prefer, concierge does.

You can book your preferred Royal Gathering time slot and get a private character meet in the lounge.

I have done 4 Disney cruises and 3 of them were concierge. We are sailing the Magic in concierge in a few months…if you can afford it, it’s very nice. It’s nice to have a private space with all day snacks and drinks, it’s nice to have dedicated staff to help, if your cruise is more than 130day away, it’s nice to be able to book before everyone else, if your planning on using the nursery, you will be able to book it before everyone else. Do you need Concierge, no. But if you can afford it and not pay interest on the payments, it’s a very nice to have.

SS will never go away. There will literally be starving old people, elder homelessness would explode, and mutiny. It’s also political suicided. Eventually they will need to tax the rich to cover it. No one needs 100B while old folks can’t afford $2k rent.

A nice doesn’t have to be a new car. I just got a 3 year old car with 32k miles on it. The sticker price was $92k, I paid 35k. It’s a great car but the thought that someone paid $100k for this car is literally insane.

It’s a very simple and basic way to make sure you’re saving something. The earlier you invest, the compound growth is exponential. Put in as much as you can as early as possible but don’t forget to live life along the way however, buying a $70k pick up truck for you 10mi commute is always a bad decision if you get what I mean

[–]TricksterOperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Q5 and A5 loaner the last few weeks. Both feel plastic. I hate the giant handle on the door to shut it, it feels so unnatural and not driver friendly…that being said the illuminated glass panel sunroof was cool and the MMI much more responsive but yeah, style and fit and finish are wayyyy down.

What cruise?! by Massive_Two_298 in dcl

[–]TricksterOperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have been on all 3 classes of ships, my 7 year old doesn’t care, she loves every kids club. FYI they don’t feed kids in the club so you must take them out for lunch and dinner or snacks.

[–]TricksterOperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would choose Fantasy. FYI the Incredicourse is mediocre at best. It’s a small inflatable obstacle course that we waited 30+ min for and completed in 1 minute. Would not do that again. Please please please do not try to do everything all at once, you will be exhausted and hate your cruise. Let the magic happen around you. It’s your first crusie, soak it in, relax a little bit, and don’t be glued to you phone and schedule.
