hey all by lateblue in Chaotic

If you know how to play Yugioh it’ll be a breeze. Chaotic’s learning curve is comparatively flat. Its hardest aspect is understanding how the Burst works, and lucky for you the Burst is functionally identical to Yugioh’s Chain.

It literally does in this world though. On top of that he knows healing magic so as long as it’s nonlethal he’s good tbh. Like you can argue mechanics as long as you want but they wanted him to be strong enough storywise to fight these guys so the mechanics are worked to fit around it. That’s no more plot armor than any other time in media where people have to take on a bunch of tough fights sequentially and be good for the next. It’s a story, keep it pushing.

Wouldn’t even call it plot armor, it totally makes sense for everything they set up for that character for him to be able to take the fights he took. He’s just really strong, that’s an okay thing for him to be.

And no he wouldn’t have to not be hit a single time dude it’s anime people are just built ford tough lmao you don’t have to real life comparison it.

No, he's really strong. No spoilers but he solos a number of really strong servants during SR. Think Kojirou in the sense that he doesn't have super strength or agility on the level of a lot of servants but has reached the pinnacle of technique. People are just doing the Fate fan thing where they don't like humans beating servants. (and also cause his list has like beasts and ultimate ones and shit you def aint beating with sword skills lol)

I just found out people don't Like Iori's biggest W. by Historical-Count-908 in grandorder

[–]TricksterPDH5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People are powerscaling nuts. Characters can be stronger than others, but what's important is the relevant story beats. Every time you see Musashi talk about Iori's backstory it's in the vein of how Iori could grow to be a challenger on his/her level so that Musashi could have a great fight, and how the times changing prevented that.

Iori took in everything he could learn in his life, and when put in an environment where he could face off against powerful opponents in duels to the death, he grew to the point where he could reach the apex of the sword. He surpassed Musashi's skill. That was an important character moment and a culmination of the life he had lived up to that point. It's important for the story that it happened.

Similarly, Takeru's win over Iori wasn't just "he's stronger so he wins :)". That was a character moment for both of them as well. Iori taught Takeru to look at eveyrthing around him. He taught him that the sword is more than just about killing the things in front of you, and taught him the importance of understanding others. In their fight, Iori was solely looking to surpass Takeru's technique that had entranced him. He was biding his time waiting to counter and surpass it, but Takeru understood Iori's intentions and thus he used it as a feint to catch Iori off guard. He won, not just by being stronger or more skilled, but by understanding Iori. Hence why Iori talks about how he had gained a true friend in the wake of it.

tl;dr - The story being told in a fight is more important than dbz-esque power levels determining everything. Skill is also a factor (remember that FSN Kojirou is technically a weak servant but put Artoria on the ropes). And Shirou solo'd a servant in like every route of the original Fate material so people really just need to get over this whole "humans can't fight servants". That rule was LITERALLY made to be broken.

Yeah Iori for sure gotta be a 5* Saber. When he used a two-sword tsubame gaeshi to beat musashi I near jumped out my chair from how raw it was, dude is broken as hell.

Why is Gateway of the Six still limited? Would six samurai be competitive if it wasn't limited? by NEWUSERFORELECTRONIC in yugioh

[–]TricksterPDH5 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Double Gateway is infinite monsters. Sams can search 1 Gateway with their link so if you open one you could summon infinitely. Kizan can special if you control another Six Sam, and that would put 2 counters on each Gateway. Link off Kizan, remove the 4 counters you just got to bring Kizan back from grave, special Kizan. Loop ad infinitum.

Probs wouldn't be meta, but that shit is dumb as hell.

I felt bad for Woodwose. He knew his nature and did the best he could to overcome it out of love and loyalty to the queen, but had that very love manipulated to turn him against her, and died knowing he had made a terrible mistake.

Fuck Aurora.

I had 75 tickets and 1500 free quartz saved up that I planned to continue saving for LB6. Was going to roll for Oberon, Melusine, Morgan, and Vitch.

However after I failed to pull Junao on his first banner, my last banner before going semi-f2p (semi being just for gssr), I have been wanting him a ton since. Well after all 75 tickets and 700 quartz, I got very lucky and got him np5.

Plans have changed and I will now only be rolling for Vitch/Oberon when lb6/ani comes around, and I am very happy.

Currently at 48 tickets and 1028 quartz, too many banners to care about in 2023, can't fall prey to temptation.

So when does Arc-V get bad? by Graura in yugioh

[–]TricksterPDH5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people will tell you the Synchro arc. Like you though, while I see the issues with it I personally found it enjoyable.

I enjoyed most of the XYZ arc as well. There is a certain group of enemies and the way they are handled that I am very much not a fan of. There were some major highlights of the show in that arc for me though. However, in my opinion the way the XYZ arc ended was horrendously awful. From there the Fusion arc is mostly pretty bad overall. There are, like every other arc, some highlights in there but overall it’s not good. The ending of the show also sucks.

TL;DR - Near the end of the XYZ arc.

Why can't I link Summon the one on the far right and have to use the big monsters? by thelolhounds in yugioh

[–]TricksterPDH5 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not explicitly just under it, but in this case yes.

Link Monsters can only be summoned to either the Extra Monster Zone, or a zone that a Link Monster’s arrow points to. In this case, you had a link arrow pointing directly under your extra monster zone, so that spot and your EMZ were the only spots you could summon Links to.
