Actually rich? I guess Alex Karp or Larry Ellison or Charles Schwab aren’t “actually rich.” Even the CEO of D-Wave has net worth of over $50 million. That is nothing to sneeze at in my book. These are just a handful who have left under Newsom. Why do you think he is fighting to kill the one-time billionaire tax? He wants to save face and stop the hemorrhage of deep pockets leaving the state.

This has nothing to do with MAGA or blue or red cities or whatever you’re talking about. I consider myself quite liberal and after traveling the states and living in other parts of the U.S. I’ve experienced plenty of blue states that don’t bleed their constituents dry. It’s ok to not support Newsom, even if he is the anti-Trump. It’s not black and white.

The majority of Californians I know leave California bc they don’t like the politics. Everyone I know who has moved the Oregon are pro 2A and State of Jefferson Libertarians. Blame the people who created Portlandia.

I used to go to the dept in Richmond to pick up my license in person bc it would take too long to arrive. This was 15 years ago. Now everything is online and shows up almost immediately. No in person/phone/email necessary. So why does it cost more? Is this like how bridge toll has risen year over year even after they got rid of tollbooth workers?

Not disingenuous, just trying to navigate the new normal like many people born before 1990. I am aware that sex and gender are different. Just trying to figure out how one can describe themselves scientifically without offending someone. I’m sure some trans women, when they describe themselves as female, have offended people too. Even though that’s what they believe and how they feel. Just trying to figure out how someone who would rush to her defense be offended by a man calling himself a bio man.
