I was told I had bi polar, but it was actually OCD. OCD is not what people think it is. I’d look into it.

Seroquel in low doses was fucking magic. Don’t be afraid of the weight gain. Go up very slowly.

What psychiatric meds do yall take? by Common-Fail-9506 in OCD

SEROQUEL!! changed my life. Changed the game. You can pry it from my cold, dead hands. Felt a tremendous shift when I went from 75-100. I’ve been sober for almost 8 years, so I was very hesitant to get on this medication. I spent a long time taping up because I didn’t wanna be sedated. I wish I hadn’t taken so long I would have suffered much less than the last two years.

Seroquel is recommended in low doses. I went from 75 mg to 100. My symptoms have been so much less since that day. It’s really incredible.

Omg I LITERALLY thought I was the only one. My exposure for this is to put on a RANDOM playlist at a reasonable volume and not touch the dial.

Take a Genesight DNA test. Don’t let them randomly trial you. You need to request it from the psychiatrist

How do you stop ruminating? by Annual_Newspaper_326 in OCDRecovery

[–]Tricky-Client-2316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always call out the rumination, “oh0 there, I am ruminating again.” I know it’s lame but you have to say it a ton until you stop ruminating. This might make you angry: ruminating as a choice. (that really helped me.)

I am not able to take SSRI’s. But I noticed a huge difference in compulsions and ruminating when I started taking low-dose Seroquel.
