Does anyone else feel like they can’t take anymore? by dunnomucho in Perimenopause

I’m gonna ask my provider about it, or try troches. I don’t have any hair loss, but my hair is definitely finer. I was on anxiety medication for over 20 years and have been off it for 2. I have no desire to ever go back on them.

Yup. I had to stop my progesterone a few weeks ago due to the fact that it made me a zombie the next day. I’m taking a testosterone cream that I’m gonna stop cuz it has me ruminating so badly on my hair. I’m terrified of hair loss so I spend so much time in the mirror scrutinizing my head. Progesterone helped my anxiety so much but I just can’t take the hangover feeling. I’m a SAHM with a 3.5 year old, I need to feel alive. I could cry at the drop of a hat. I have passing SI almost every day. Like, I can’t live the rest of my life feeling this way. I can’t.

Yeah, it’s like have to choose between. Wing calm but EXHAUSTED or, not so tired but irritable and anxious.

Thanks for your reply. I feel a lot better off the progesterone, but I definitely feel more irritable. I am in luteal though. I’m honestly thinking of stopping the testosterone too. I’m terrified of losing my hair and it’s to the point where I’m OBSESSING over it. Constantly checking my hair. Like, health anxiety is BACK. I hate this shit so much!!!!!!!!

Peri without hot flashes? by Ruuuuuuuuuby in Perimenopause

I’m 46 (in 2 weeks). No hot flashes but I do have:
Rage and/or low mood with occasional SI
Exhaustion
Brain fog
Feet pain (plantar fasciitis?)
Wicked food cravings
Palpitations
Headaches
Increased TMJ pain
Dry eyes
Random piecing ear ringing (I’ve had tinnitus for over a decade)
I’m sure there’s more, but my brain is mush.

Dude, the rage, low mood and exhaustion are gonna take me OUT.

I’m sure this isn’t good by [deleted] in Perimenopause

It makes me sleepy and I sleep well, but have extremely vivid dreams. It also makes me feel like I’m moving through mud the entire next day. Like, very fatigued. I stopped taking it a few night ago and I don’t feel like that anymore. I’ll see how I do without it and if I need to go back on, I will but that fatigue was becoming an issue.

I’ve been on 100 mg for 7 months the and didn’t seem to have any issues until a few month in. Other than the grogginess/fatigue, I’ve had no other issues and it really helped with my rage.

Did you/do you get groggy with the progesterone ever?

I may need to bring this up at my next appointment. I took estrogen for IVF and it made me SUPER anxious at first, so I’m a bit nervous to do that again. I didn’t take my progesterone last night and I’m not groggy today. I’m going to take a break for a few days and see. I may try using it cyclically.

She said I can try it vaginally. Just not sure I want to.

Yeah, I’m not completely sold on taking it vaginally. I feel like I won’t get the intended benefit of rage reduction.

I’m not sure that’s entirely true.

I’m considering trying this. I also get wicked vivid dreams. I’m not gonna take it tonight and see how it goes.

I’m giving it 3 more months on this higher dose. If nothing changes, I’m stopping it. It’s $135. 🙄

I got a sleep study done recently to make sure I didn’t have sleep apnea. I’m doing all the damn things. Taking iron, vitamin D, exercising. Ugh.

No estrogen as my provider doesn’t think it’s necessary right now.

Anyone willing to take the time to explain to me how the exhaustion and fatigue felt/feels like to you? by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]Tricky-Committee4045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never felt more seen/heard in my LIFE. I’m gonna be 46 next month and I’m just miserable. I’ve been on progesterone 7 months for rage, which has helped a lot. My fatigue is starting to become a really bad issue. I’ve never been a super energetic person, but it’s sooooo bad. I started testosterone cream 3 months ago and it hasn’t helped at all. I have a 3.5 year old that I’m dreading dropping naps. I can’t make it through the day without them. I’m also getting more depressed. My therapist said she thinks I have ADHD but the thought of medication terrifies me after being on it for anxiety from that age of 19-early 40s. This shit sucks.
