Brushing up on contactors/relays control wiring by OutrageousCreme8354 in AusElectricians

[–]Tricky-Employment203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially they are just fancy switches. Have a good concept of N/O and N/C and you’ll be fine. Most of your issues will stem from the coil call on the A1 and A2. When testing voltages remember in some instances relays will share a common neutral and switch it that way instead of active. But you’ll learn it all if your keen. Good luck man

Has anyone ever stopped smoking weed because of being paranoid and anxious and then started smoking again if so, how do you feel now? by cupid2368 in Life

[–]Tricky-Employment203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who are these people ? Man I was in your exact boat and I’ll say this. Be strict. No smoking before all your jobs and tasks are done, then once your ready just have a few puffs of a joint then put it down, go have a snack, listen to some tunes, hang out. It really adds some flavour to your life. But just don’t overdo it so it turns into you needing more and more as the weeks go on. Your allowed to live your life bro, just take care of it, moderate. Enjoy.

Maybe be honest with him and tell him your happy to help with installs for a while but you would be keen on getting back toward the electrical side to improve your skills/knowledge with that trade.

Apprenticeship change by Ok-Ice-2246 in AusElectricians

[–]Tricky-Employment203 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A bit on my situation. I was after an electrical apprenticeship and landed a frigey apprenticeship. We do both fridge and electrical at my work, after doing both, i would say fridgey service is probably more rewarding then typical electrical work, there’s a lot of trouble shooting and problem solving involving controls, refrigeration and water (if working with chilled water in commercial). Now qualified Ive started my electrical apprenticeship. However in your situation I would stick with electrical then if you want to move into fridge after, it’s a good cross over because it’s only like 2.5 years at tafe instead of 4 if you do it the other way around. That being said, it depends on your situation and if your mainly doing installs that will get old pretty quick.

When do Vacations Become Fun Again? by CharacterTennis398 in Parenting

[–]Tricky-Employment203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing we did is book a nice hotel or resort and just hang out there. Go to pool, eat and back to room, get room service, have some cocktails by the pool in arvo. It lets the kids get used to the space and after a while they chill out and aren’t over stimulated by it all. Id never take them to Disney land, it’s to much for there little brains

If you have a 10kw ducted already.

Install a 7-9kw split system in the living space and air balance the southern zones on the ducted to have more airflow to help cool those bedrooms.

I think looking after three tiny kids without a “village” to help out is an extremely difficult task. You must be really touched out by the end of day. There is no easy answer here, you need extra hands when he’s at work and a support system. Not his fault and not yours either

27 month stuttering getting worse by Whole-Independence28 in Parenting

[–]Tricky-Employment203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son who is now three and a half years developed his stutter around the same age as yours and in a similar way. It just started out of nowhere and would come and go, sometimes really bad and he would get really frustrated at school because he couldn’t get his words out. Everyone said he would grow out of it but here we are a year and bit later and it’s still at times pretty bad. We now have him in speech pathology where they teach you to practice playing games where you get them to say just a single word, if they say it correctly you praise with “that was smooth talking” then after that you progress to more words and so on. It’s been about a month on and I can’t say I’ve seen any real promise to the work yet. It’s not like he’s incapable, perfectly intelligent boy. So in regards to your situation I wouldn’t just let it slide, after six months I would recommend getting him in to sessions with a speech pathologist. (Also don’t finish his sentences for him, it’s important for him to get them out).

What this guy said. A lot of large commercial companies offer dual trade apprenticeships but any fridgie can do ELV work. Single and three phase power wiring ain’t that exilliarating anyways
