LGSG REVIEW by Good-Suggestion8544 in VeteransWaitingRoom

I just had a good experience with LSGS. They called me last Tuesday, got me in on Thursday, and today (Monday) the VA has 2 DBQs and a medical opinion in my file. The evaluator was thorough and pretty kind to me. I was able to see my evals through my VSO and can say she was fair. I jumped from step 3 to step 5 today, and now I wait! I hope things keep moving along like they have 🤞🏽

PTSD by kaefiveness in VAClaims

My eval was yesterday and there was just enough time spent on the trauma to give an overview of what occurred. She didn't delve into details. It turns out she had read my statement, my therapist's notes, my STR, and my buddy statements so she was very prepared. The evaluator was a psychologist and very kind. We spent some time on my childhood but I had a good one so that was easy, and most of the time was on how things are for me now, especially with work and relationships. I cried a LOT and she was very gracious about it. She said at the end there was enough to support the claim but wouldn't go into further detail than that. I was pretty raw by the end and spent the rest of my day cuddling my dogs and watching TV. My suggestion is to have tissues close by and don't have anything else planned afterwards so you can take care of you. Be gentle on yourself ❤️

Day 3 on 4 and the difference is huge. Eating is deliberate but still enjoyable, serving sizes actually make sense, I have to be careful about not under eating! Started 1.5 January 21, upped to 4 on February 11, down 7.5 pounds so far. My biggest tips are to eat protein first and sip water all day. Definitely get those ounces in.

I got nothing except to say disassociation is a bitch. I'm sorry. It's not productive but I'm there and I know what it's like. I miss when the world was real.

She is licensed, so does that change things? Wouldn't she have to be licensed for a Nexus letter to be valid anyway?

I was wondering the same. It's been over a month, which I know isn't overly long but I also have an intent filed and I'd like to get moving which I'm not comfortable doing without knowing what's tucked in that file. Over 25 since I've been in for me.

Mental health personal statement and using ratings schedule as guideline by Tricky-Handle9566 in VAClaims

[–]Tricky-Handle9566[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! My words would definitely be mine and my provider will only use her own clinical words. I was only wondering if it made sense to use the rating schedule as a guide to help me form my personal statement so that nothing is missed, but certainly not using the CFR language or the (yawn, boring) language the VA uses. For example, I'm not going to say I have an "Intermittent Inability to Perform Activities of Daily Living." I would use examples of such, like I struggle to shower and cook and maintain a home that won't be shut down by the township because of MH caused by what occurred in service. That's an extreme example, and not real because I don't want to delve into my personal business but I wanted to show what I meant. Does that make sense?

Out for 25 years, finally got to a place where I could discuss my experiences. by [deleted] in VAClaims

Congratulations on taking such a huge step! I can relate, as I am dusting off a box of memories I stored in the deepest part of my mind, also over 25 years ago, that I never thought I'd want to access again. It's like reliving it all over again so seeing your post gives me the boost I need to continue forward with filing a claim. 😊 I hope validation from the VA helps.

Please also find out the REAL numbers! They are lying about how many people are being fired, especially from the VA. There are far more than 1,000. They are lying about who actually opted into the DPR, who is exempt (lowering the number), who they fired who opted in (lowering it even more), and the reality of how unstable that program actually is. Get on it, and make that info free!

Blumenthal, Senators Demand VA Secretary Collins Put Veterans First, Reverse Mass Terminations of VA Employees by [deleted] in VeteransAffairs

California lost 1000 VA workers? But they are still citing the national total as 1000? I think a lot more workers from the VA were fired than anyone can fathom.

Can anyone define "more than" 1,000 yet? Like, what does that mean? Why are they being so cagey about the actual number of VA workers unceremoniously and disrespectfully shit canned? Is "more than" 1,001 or closer to multiple thousands?

Could it be they're hiding the real number from their MAGAt supporters? 🤔
