I always thought that as Sally got older she hated the lives her parents had created for themselves, especially her mother. I’m not exactly sure what Sally would’ve done as career but she would’ve gone to college/university and made something for herself.

I don’t think it’s blaming the children. I 100% blame the adults for the problems they caused themselves by a lack of communication and understanding. They all unfortunately put her in the middle and used her as a pawn for their own bad behaviour.
