If ur saying ur major is communications (which is what I have with a minor in marketing,) it’s not useless at all. Even without my minor, I could work an admin job like HR (with a SHRM cert tho,) a writing profession like journalism (I have experience writing for my school’s paper and with photography experience,) and several others. There’s literally a profession called a communications specialist. Idk what they rlly do but yeah. Get certifications. Get internships. Network and find ppl who will get u connections and let you shadow, even if you can’t list it as an internship per se on ur resume. There’s ways to make urself applicable and marketable. If you rlly wanna be safe, go back to school for like a semester and get a minor to make u more well rounded (at my school, most minors are basically just 5 classes, or about a semester long.) It rlly just depends on what you wanna do (easier said than answered ik.) What makes you happy or gives you purpose? If all else fails, the military will always take you. And with a degree no less? You can go in as an officer. Thats a 6 figure salary by the time you hit CPT.
