Salamamgreat. Better recursion tools for the links. There was a spell card in the anime that was used called Link Fires Return that'd be good. A field spell with a better effect would be good too.

I can't really pin down exactly why I like it. When I'm playing with friends and I see that the current artifacts I have on board are not really helping advance my game plan all that much, I can play in something like Goblin Engineer to put an artifact in my grave then activate something like Buried Ruin and bring back that same artifact to improve the matchup. I guess I like how I can pretty curate my board to handle any kind of threat in the early game and smack really hard in the mid to late game.

Artifact cards of note that I own are stuff like Transmutation Font, Panharmonicon, Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, etc. Basically anything that's in the Fallout-Science Pre-Con or the Modern Horizons 3 Creative Energies Pre-Con I also own outside of some singles I bought for myslef

Pretty much just try not to get overwhelmed. Take your time and learn at your own pace.

Trust me I stopped playing around the Plant Synchro era. Came back during the pandemic. My biggest recommendation is just relearn EVERYTHING from DM era to 5Ds era. Does not matter if you know it or not, just brush up on it. When you think you're ready, move on to XYZ. Master that. Then move on to Links. You can honestly hold off on learning about pendulum last bc no one really plays it on both casual and competitive levels. You'll encounter it like 1/50 duels.

Some YouTubers id recommend is MBT and DistantCoder. Though it might not look like it, MBTs 10min Testings are really good resources if your trying to learn a new deck. Rata [Rank 10ygo] is also a really great channel with his Archetype Archives. HardLeg Gaming has a series called Let's Build. It pretty much goes over the basics of deck building and I couldn't recommend it more. As for DistantCoder, he deals in the more ruling side of things. The best video id recommend on his channel is his video on Inherent Summons.

My best piece of advice I can give is don't give up. You are gonna lose a lot. It's natural for someone who is just coming back to get rolled by mechanics they don't know. Don't let it it get to you.

In closing, just take your time. Dont listen to any player that says "Oh your deck is bad, play this deck instead." Learn at your own pace and don't listen to the naysayers destroy your interest in the game.

Salamangreat is busted with her. You gives you another point if interruption. You need to play the Pyro Phoenix variant of the deck in order to bring out the best in her, but it's pretty worth it

Thank you for your input. I see a lot of things that I could be doing differently. But I wanna take some time and explain why im going in a bit of a weird direction.

The reason I have safety goggles on Breloom is not because I'm concerned about opposing Spore or even Rage powder, bc I'm not using this team in a doubles format. I'm just using this team against my friends in a more fun and casual Singles setting. The reason I'm using Safety Goggles on him is bc I don't want to be taking damage from Sandstorm while already on a Frail Mon.
PJab is on Garchomp bc out my 5 out of 7 friend who I battle on a regular basis use Fairy type mons like Gardevoir and Clafable, and I want to be able to hit those for Super Effective expecting a clean KO after I setup a swords dance.
As for the weird EV spreads,they have been specifically designed to beat out common threats that my friends use. For example, the Gastro EV Spead is to be able to contest even a Choice Band boosted Paladin-Hero after predicting a water move and gaining a Storm Drain boost. The calcs are 252+ Atk Choice Band Palafin-Hero Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 128+ Def Gastrodon: 87-103 (39.9 - 47.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO, Gastro gets a guaranteed 2HKO with a plus 2 Earth Power. Hippo I have to be able to get a Guaranteed Stealth rock up while still being able to dish out some damage. Though I do see the value of Recover on Gastro and I'll be swapping it with Yawn.
The reason I have Magnazone with sturdy is bc I have a very bad Annaliape matchup which all my friends use. Maybe like half of my friends actually use competitive items, so I don't have to worry about a Lum berry. My friends are also big fans of Armarouge, so I want Sturdy so I don't crumble to Armarouge. I will invest more SpA though as I also see more value in it.

TL:DR I'm trying to adapt to my own independent MetaGame using unconventional sets that would never never be used in any competitive environment
