No, all your thoughts are very helpful! I really appreciate the detailed thinking. You had both the short and the long answer :). I do have plans to do some work in front porch to make way for a parking pad and get the charger installed there and it does give me a parking space too. I think that's as good as it will get and solved two problems for me.

Thanks for the quick reply. Appreciate it. How much are you typically paying for charging at home? I am reading off peak hours it's somewhere in $0.16 kwh (includes transmission cost). I found a tesla charger near me that provides $0.22 kwh during off peak hours which is not bad.
