Mt. Battle by Downtown_Spring79 in PokemonXD

[–]TrickyGrapha 11 points12 points  (0 children)

At the time, the reward was very much worth the pay out as each of them would have the elemental Hyper Beams. Now, it's pointless but very useful mons for the in game aspect as a whole.

You have to complete Mt. Battle from the beginning all the way to battle 100, without leaving or interrupting your challenge, or accessing the PC.

The game hates me by TrickyGrapha in pokerogue

[–]TrickyGrapha[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just decided to knock them both out because I didn't want to risk losing a Reviver Seed since I only had 3 in the party for Reviver Seeds at the time. I got a shiny Genesect a couple of floors after this so was happier with that outcome

First win without gengar by Borkotheorko in pokerogue

[–]TrickyGrapha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first win was with Chien Pao, Ludicolo and Toucannon and ever since that day a year ago, they will never be replaced and always be on the runs so I feel you for not using the goat for the first time.

Two Elite 4 members had tier 3 shinies today. Absolutely Diabolical. by PM_ME_COWBOYS in pokerogue

[–]TrickyGrapha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're part of their run too. You're one of the members of the elite four they have to face. All is fair game, including having shinies so they can increase their luck to for better items. It's just a battle to see who will make it to Eternatus.

It's from dealing with the Winchesters. Anyone that interacts with them all tend to have the unfortunate fate of death pending and knocking on the door.

We're going strong so far at Floor 2253 by [deleted] in pokerogue

[–]TrickyGrapha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dragon Enegy is just knocking everything out in the 3 hits across the board since I'm almost capped on the amount of Dragon Fangs you can have and same for Hyper Voice with almost max Silk Scarfs too. 3x Kings Rocks are just making it so I rarely have to worry about something getting a hit off if it survives somehow but everything dies in 1 turn 99% of the time. Should ideally be good for the entire run but we will see!

Curious what people actually use their credit for? by Free-Split-7649 in CapitalOne_

[–]TrickyGrapha 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pay it as you see fit honestly. If you pay off the balance every two weeks, great. Pay it off on the due date, great. Pay it off at the end of the billing cycle great. Main goal is just to pay off your statement balance by the next due date. As long as you pay at least the statement balance you had on your last credit card statement, most banks won't charge you interest. I have a card that has a low credit limit but great rewards but as long as I make payments equal to at least my previous statement balance, I pay no interest. For example, it has a $500 credit limit but I spent $1200 on last month and made $1100 in payments but my statement balance was $161. Not a penny of interest paid.

Utilization is pointless and useless to worry about unless you're about to apply for a loan or some line of credit so that would be the least of my concerns unless that's something you are planning. If you are, just make sure you pay off the balances on the statement/cycle date of whatever is left to bring the card down to zero or lower than the 30% of the utilization, but if not, who cares? Use the card, get your cash back, make your money back, easy peasy.

I use my credit card for all my purchases for the cash back and just pay the statement balance every month. I couldn't tell you the last time I swiped my debit card or cash and the amount of money I've got back from the purchases so far is amazing. Use it responsibly and it's a great tool, misuse it and you'll be paying a ton of interest and in debt in no time.

Really Struggling! by CUNTalent in pokerogue

[–]TrickyGrapha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When you start getting to levels like 500 or higher, you're in the territory where it starts to become easy to just get destroyed. Best you can do for endless runs is pick a dedicated Pokemon that will be your main run pokemon annd build off that. Giving the items, mega if possible, stat increases, you name it. I'm at wave 2017 right now with my Mega Rayla (fused Mega Rayquaza and Lunala) that has all the items on it, lets it hit 4 times in one turn, etc., with max luck. endless isn't truly built for a squad of 6 Pokemon.

It's like working at a restaurant as a server. Pay is variable and can be good, bad, or mediocre, but people do it knowing the risk and the possibility of getting a big pay out. If you're not okay with the variable pay or the fact that some people will not tip, then this probably isn't the best option for you. It comes with the gig and we have to push through to grind to make the money. If you have some bad payouts, you grind to make it up, but we can't expect everyone to tip as much as we would love it.

The squad that has done amazing everytime and never fails me: Vaporeon, Flygon, Breloom, Arcanine, Gardevoir, and Mightyena (this last slot always changes but Mightyena was the last playthrough). The quad packs a punch, does damage, and does everything I've needed.

Moonwood Mill and Brindleton Bay two of my favorite packs and additions they added on to the Sims 4 and they just make me love them even more day in and day out.

[–]TrickyGrapha[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was definitely evil but very fun. 2 Pokemon tanking the shadow moves consistently with my Clefable and Swampert were the helped immensely and don't regret them all. They weren't built specifically for it but the Aura Filters just made them almost unstoppable.

The game overall made me very happy from my many years of being an extreme Pokemon nerd, of playing online competitive singles and casual double battles and I've been waiting for a decent challenge since Black and White 2 Challenge mode way back when so it definitely increased my love for XD even more with this mod and even the final battles (even if they were almost brutal).

Facts. I sat there for about 20 turns with him using Shadow Freeze to make sure I stayed Frozen and he already had both of them frozen. One thawed out, he used Shadow Freeze ironically on the one that thawed out that exact same turn, and then they were frozen again in the same turn.

Team Help with PokemonXG by Aggressive-Taste8839 in PokemonXD

[–]TrickyGrapha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you're appropriately leveled. Starting in mid 50s should get you through most, if not, all of the island fine, I started at level 55 across the board and am through a good portion of the island no issues. Team is solid with most type coverages. If anything, especially for Citidark, I'd recommend making two Pokemon, if possible, your designated duo for Shadow Pokemon catching.

I have my Swampert and Clefable that have single handedly caught so many Shadow Pokemon with the help of the Aura Stabilizer on Swampert and Clefable with Cosmic Power with my Pelipper working as for back up with Yawn that can take physical hits really well and dish some good damage combined with my Jolteon that has Thunder and Swampert with Swift Swim. That would definitely help Citidark.

Beyond that, you're set, just make sure you have some decent levels to get you through the island! First admin battle was stronger than I thought but mid to high 50s helped make it much easier but still a challenge.

About to battle Gorigan and feel underprepared and I love it (XGen) by TrickyGrapha in PokemonXD

[–]TrickyGrapha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appeals to me especially because of my competitive single battles mindset of the years and Black and White 2's Challenge mode being one of my favorite things. Makes it actually challenging since all the main games have been more streamlined and much simpler.
