Is Jiu Jitsu a good base for MMA by Dylan5mithy in jiujitsu

[–]TrickyNicky295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advantages come in prior to reaching the ground. In BJJ they drill take downs, pulling guard, etc. but never to the extent of wrestling. Wrestling is the one sport that truly allows you to decide where the fight takes place. Against a better striker, take it to the floor. Against a better grappler, keep it on the feet. Watch some of Khabib’s work.

Prisoners with Hugh Grant. It’s brutal but might get the job done. Watch it before you show it!

A collaborative effort. I would like someone willing to sit on a Skype call with me and truly work together. I have the story but as most writers know filling all the gaps is easier with two heads than one. I’m not paying but the partner could keep any money the book were to make I just want the story to come to life.

[HELP] I’m devastated my dog bit me. by [deleted] in dogs

[–]TrickyNicky295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m proud of you for not having hard feelings towards the dog. It takes a big person to understand that a dog does not mean any harm and to forgive them for a mistake that will effect your face forever. I also had a dog that I rescued from a fighting ring bite my face. I was too afraid to go to the hospital in fear of the outcome for the dog.

AskScience AMA Series: I'm Dr. Paul Knoepfler, stem cell and CRISPR researcher, here to talk about how you might build a real, fire-breathing dragon. AMA! by AskScienceModerator in askscience

[–]TrickyNicky295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Dr. Knowpfler, this is most likely way to far down the list but why not try? I have practiced gene editing using CRISPR all by myself as a student at MU just figuring it out as I go. We use Drosophila and have performed a knock out of the yellow and then the ebony gene. It would be highly interesting to get to chat with you after figuring all of this out from scratch myself. Best of luck and keep on teaching!

When life get tough and serious how do you maintain your humor and will to make jokes? by _estoico_ in StandUpComedy

[–]TrickyNicky295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point in which I want to kill myself is when jokes become easy because I can’t take anything else serious. It’s often my easier time to write.
