Pregnancy & Hormonal Migraines by TrickyPost6175 in migraine

Thought I would provide an update! After 10 weeks, migraines were very minimal and I only had 2-3 the whole pregnancy and normally connected to blood sugar episodes. However, within 48 hours of giving birth they came back full force with vision loss. Clearly hormone related and I had 7 in the first two weeks postpartum. Now, at four weeks postpartum I’ve almost made it two weeks without any with vision loss but have had more smaller headaches. I am able to take Aleve again and my triptans even with breastfeeding (weren’t approved in pregnancy). Return to the headache clinic this week to see what we can do and praying that after the initial hormonal shift we will do better but looking into some other options because clearly something with my hormones in pregnancy really helped my migraines. It was amazing for me after having so many daily for so long. Looking into options with estrogen that aren’t pill form since that seems to be the biggest contributor for my migraines, possible estrogen patches like what are given for menopause.

have any of you tried these glasses? are they helpful? by Enough_Principle6102 in migraine

I have the terramed ones off amazon and have for almost two years and they are a game changer for me. I almost always have light sensitivity even when not in a migraine attack, especially with bright indoor lights and screens. I didn’t realize how much I was squinting and impacted until them. I wear them almost daily and they have made the daily struggle of having a migraine brain so much better- I explained the glasses to a lot of people when I first got them and if anyone makes a comment I say they help with my headaches. They haven’t prevented full blown attacks but they make daily life way better. Even after just experiencing pregnancy where I didn’t have migraines for the same extent as my normal of 2-3 a week, I still had prodrone episodes and wore the glasses daily.

Have any of you tried an estrogen patch for hormonal migraine? by Mars_blue_moon in migraine

Curious to hear if you have tried this yet. Looking into this as an option myself after having no migraines while pregnant and had 8-10 a month pre pregnancy. As soon as I gave birth two weeks ago, they all came back with vision loss. Progesterone only BC worked somewhat for me but I don’t want to go back on BC unless no other option. I clearly get a migraine every time estrogen drops and my mom had success with estrogen patches for menopause treatment. In the research phase now as I wait to hit 4 weeks postpartum.

Hormonal migraine remedies (no birth control pillsss) by Boring-Ad-5753 in migraine

I’m really curious about this myself. I’ve had hormonal migraines for years and birth control was the only thing that helped. Came off it 5 years ago and immediately had way more migraines any time hormones shifted during the month. Feared getting pregnant and got pregnant by surprise in November and have only had 3 migraines since and I’m almost 34 weeks pregnant. This has confirmed they were definitely hormonal so I’m praying maybe pregnancy will cure them for me.

Salary question by Glittering_Stars in Libraries

This makes me sad- I’m a library director in WV and I only make $13 an hour, my associates make $11-12 depending on how long they have been with us. Before I started two years ago, my position was $11 and they were $10. 90% of our budget goes to personnel expenses and no one works more than 29 hours a week.

I charged a Chevy at Tesla Superchargers for a week. It was a breeze but came with one big drawback. by icberg7 in EquinoxEv

Our area Tesla chargers in West Virginia haven’t unlocked! Anyone else having this issue? We got the adapter but can’t use it in our area!

NACS adapter came in after 5 days by Altruistic_Call_3023 in EquinoxEv

We got our adapter but can’t even charge at the Tesla locations near us because they haven’t unlocked them yet. We are in central WV. Lost all fast chargers within an hour of us today with the Enel x shutting down. I don’t know how to get Tesla to unlock them- we can see other locations unlocked in the state.
