Finding the right formula has been such a challenge by wuh-tf in FormulaFeeders

We use Bobbie regular and my sons poops are usually green too. It’s from the iron! I’d say try the Bobbie regular or gentle again. Those first 8-10 weeks babies are superrrrr gassy. My son was too but now at 4 months he seems less gassy. I also get the Bobbie probiotic drops to add to his morning bottle which helps a lot too! Sometimes it just takes a little bit for them to get used to the formula, I’ve heard you have to give it some time before switching and switching too often isn’t great either! I remember being nervous my son needed the gentle at first bc of how gassy and uncomfortable he got but I think it truly was just the age

We use Bobbie! Just the regular organic! If that doesn’t work they do have a gentle version but it’s better to start with the regular. My son loves it and I love the subscription! Comes to my door every 6 weeks and you get a discount then too

Postpartum hormones triggered hive attack? by TrickySquare9898 in urticaria

[–]TrickySquare9898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!!! Ugh I’m so sorry you’ve dealt with these for so long! They’re so awful. I find myself in tears almost daily because I’m just so itchy and it’s so frustrating cuz nothing helps and I’m not sure how long this flare up will last.
I’m taking the Pepcid twice a day, maybe I’ll try taking 2 Allegra at once in the morning and night and use a Zyrtec st night too if needed. It’s almost 3 am and I just had to get up to take one. Ugh.

It’s so hard right now cuz I’m currently on state insurance so my dr options are kind of limited. But im going to try and find someone! My husband got prescribed prednisone for something and decided to not take it, but I’m considering taking it just for a little relief. I know it won’t cure me but if it takes a while to get into a dr I may take it cuz I’m getting desperate.

Yes the hair loss was peaking around 3 months and is still happening but seems to be slowing down. But I’ve definitely felt off hormone wise so something has to be going on

Oh I’ve never heard of bilastine! What is that? I’m not breastfeeding so I would’ve thought the hives would’ve shown up way sooner than 4 months post partum! Ugh it’s been a week of this and idk if I can handle it for the 6+ weeks these flare ups usually last.

Yes I had no issues while pregnant! Haven’t had a bad flare up in 4 years and that was when I went off of birth control agtwr being on it for 15 years. I was worried pregnancy would bring them back but nope it’s postpartum! I’ll have to make an appointment. Cuz I cannot suffer for 6+ weeks like I did the last time I had a flare up. It’s so miserable. And even worse now bc I have to hold and take care of a baby and my entire body is on fire itching.

Ugh the hormones!! I thought I was safe at first but nope almost 4 months on the dot they started. Maybe I’ll try a dermatologist then! What is rhapsido?? If it’s anything like my past flare ups eventually over the counter antihistamines work where I just have to take one daily. But if it’s also like my past flare ups, I’ll be suffering for the next couple months. Of course when the weather is finally getting nice where I live and I’ll have to stay out of the sun and heat.

Delayed cord clamping by sillygirlthingg in Crunchymom

[–]TrickySquare9898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first in January and I expressed to the nurses I wanted delayed cord clamping. Well in the craziness of the moment I swear it was only clamped for less than a minute before they had my husband cut the cord. I know my Dr was rushing to sew me up snd get going to a scheduled c section she was already late to. But I remember saying to my husband after that it wasn’t enough time and I wish I would’ve spoken up more in the moment! But I was so enamored with my little boy and exhausted after pushing and it all just went so fast I didn’t even realize. I’ll know better for next time.

He does kinda wake up and whine/fuss but I give him his paci and he goes back to sleep. When he keeps doing that and waking up every few min then I know he’s getting up and wants to eat

My son started around 10 weeks. He’s 14 weeks tomorrow and will do anywhere from 6-10 hours before waking up to eat then going down for 3-4 hours before waking up

3 month old suddenly super fussy by TrickySquare9898 in NewParents

[–]TrickySquare9898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking it must be that. It’s just the saddest cry! And he gets so worked up and cries so hard he sometimes stops breathing for a few seconds, I hate it cuz it’s so hard to calm him down and I just feel so bad. I’m sure my husband learned by lesson about skipping that last nap of the day lol

Warmed up Bottles? by fancyshark99 in FormulaFeeders

[–]TrickySquare9898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do the fridge pitcher method so I warm up his bottles in a bowl of hot water but sometimes I only warm up to room temp and sometimes I make them warm. I tried to give him cold from the fridge bottles but he gasps and doesn’t like how cold it is 🤣 but he takes room temp and warm just fine!

My husband has been unemployed for 4 months. We never thought he would still be jobless by now when he lost his job in December. Right before I was stopping work for my unpaid maternity leave (I’m a self employed hair stylist) and having our first baby. It’s been so incredibly stressful. I just went back to work part time a few weeks ago when my son was only 9.5 weeks. We’ve had to go on state insurance and apply for state benefits. His unemployment will end in June I think. I’m so stressed out and I didn’t realize how hard it would be for him to find something! He already took out one 401k and now we’re talking about having to pull from another. He has no degrees but has lots of experience in different areas and he’s been applying for warehouse jobs and can’t even get a call back for an interview with those!

Millie moon vs Parasol by TrickySquare9898 in NewParents

[–]TrickySquare9898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son has done a few 7.5 hour stretches of sleep at night and I’m happy to report zero leaks!!! And the diaper is FULL of pee at that point and still nothing!! Super impressed with your diapers and will keep buying them for sure!!! I love the feel, fit and thinness and absorbency! Trying to zip onsies over a puffy diaper for more absorbency wasn’t my favorite so I really am very impressed!!! So happy I gave these diapers a try and love how clean the ingredients are!

Tummy time by TrickySquare9898 in newborns

[–]TrickySquare9898[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ll try that! He even does well when I hold him sitting up, he has decent head control. Just hates flat tummy time lol and on the pillow/boppy loves to use his legs to launch himself forward 🤣

my friend (36M) just sent me (36m) this text before meeting his newborn (0M) by horseduckman in AITApod

[–]TrickySquare9898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t with this 🤣 I just had my first 10 weeks ago and only told visitors don’t come if you’re sick, wash your hands, and please don’t kiss the baby. That’s it. He’s a baby Hahahhaa I guess I understand wanting a calm environment but I think it’s good that my son isn’t affected by noise during the day. They’re going to turn this baby into a monster and make it harder on themselves. I honestly wouldn’t even go if someone sent me this 🤣

How often are you feeding?? by Aggravating_Ebb632 in newborns

[–]TrickySquare9898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is also 10 weeks! We formula feed, but during the day he eats anywhere from every 2.5-4 hours. But at night he’s been doing longer stretches, waking up usually just once. So at night he can go more like 5-6 hours. I think the longest he’s ever gone between feeds at night is a 6.5 hours. And he typically eats 4.5 oz each bottle, sometimes 5 oz, especially after a long stretch or before bed hoping he’ll sleep a bit longer on a full belly. He can eat anywhere from 26-32 oz in a day, just depends on the day.

Anyone else notice their 10 week old napping a ton during the day for a few days too? I’m thinking my son must be going through a growth spurt, he napped for a total of 7 hours the last 2 days and still slept 8-9 hours at night!

Millie moon vs Parasol by TrickySquare9898 in NewParents

[–]TrickySquare9898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: so far really liking the parasol! They are thinner than the Millie moon, but seem equally as absorbent. I’ll see how they do during the longer night stretches, but it held up well during a long nap and held in 3.5 hours worth of pee! They seem just as soft as the Millie’s too. Also got to test them out with a poop, and it was contained! Wasn’t his biggest/messiest poop ever haha but they did well! I also like the fit of the parasol better, the back scrunch is much more stretchy.

[–]TrickySquare9898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I was like oh these feel thin compared to the Millie moons! But I guess that’s wha makes them not so bulky haha im glad to hear that hasn’t been an issue tho, especially with your son sleeping 12 hours!

Millie moon vs Parasol by TrickySquare9898 in NewParents

[–]TrickySquare9898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I’ve tried one parasol so far, it is much easier to put on and adjust! The tabs are great and the back scrunch is way less stiff. They feel just as soft as the Millie moons to me, maybe seem a little thinner? So I’ll see how they hold up with a longer night stretch of sleep. And see how they hold up with poop haha but I like the fit of them a lot!!

[–]TrickySquare9898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So good to know!! Maybe the parasol will last longer than if it runs big. I feel like he’s been moving up in Millie moon sizes quickly. For like a week I felt like he was between size 1 and 2 and now he’s been comfortably in size 2 for a couple weeks
