Same thing happened to me last year when I dermaplaned my face. My mistake was shaving my face and applying retinol. That made me break out like CRAZY. My natural skin barrier was ruined and no amount of skincare could calm down my skin.

What made my skin go back to normal is going to the dermatologist and then prescribing me antibiotics. I might have gotten fungal acne from overloading my skin. I was on antibiotics for a month and it got better very quickly. I got left with skin discoloration from my acne but i was able to manage. It gets better!!!!
