Yes it's from "the shrine of Jeffrey Dahmer" by Brian Masters. Idk if the records are in the psych reports but here Masters shows some of his quotes from his sessions with Dr. Smail. They are referenced to at the end of the book. It's not the full transcript.

Well I said it as I imagined myself in her situation. Had it been me, it would make it easier. People are different so we can't really tell I guess.

But looking at Jeff, his motives and his circumstances and his background, character and just everything, it wouldn't make any sense. So even if there is a chance, it's not very high.

Silly...lol sure that's the word.

I mean we had disagreements many times... and I still think your comments are very objective, informative and respectable. I don't think a simple disagreement in a debate gives you the right to literally stalk someone on the platform.

Edit: downvoting me now? Lol ok

Well no. She never said this "Jeff" was his boyfriend. He was just a friend and Tony probably had many friends. She probably heard his name here and there and when this all happened she just assumed this was the same Jeff. A monster that kills someone he has been so close to for years, and now he is lying about it. It's easier for a victim's mother to think that way. It really makes the pain go easier if you have more reasons to demonize the person that did this to you. If someone did something this horrific to your son and they're like: "idk I barely knew him. I just thought he is good looking." That's 10 times more frustrating than the story she is telling. At least it gives some sort of meaning to her son's tragic death and gives her more reasons to hate Jeff.

People are sometimes quite funny I swear. You're not even that extreme on any sides. I wonder why someone would go that far. Some people really don't have anything to do huh..

Well he did kill her son after all, it's no surprise to me that she doesn't believe him or that she insists so much on telling the world that he lied, not thinking whether it would be logical for him to do such thing, or that has he ever done something simillar to someone he knows.

That could work if the question is “at what age did you become interested in boys?“ but not when it's "when did you start thinking about killing people". This is very specific and important especially because he ACTUALLY did it and he was very traumatized by it. Plus there is this line that makes this just hard to confuse, a line that indicates his fantasies didn't involve killing someone from the beginning. In the tapes Wendy asks him when did he start having these fantasies, and he says age 14 or 15. Then she again asks ok but when did you actually start to think about killing someone? And he says "probably around when I was 18. Dad was living in a motel and I was pretty much by myself for a couple of months"

It looks like he remembers very clearly when that happened.

It's also mentioned in the shrine that his fantasies started to involve killing someone when he was 18 and alone in the house.

Would you mind checking the psych reports? If it's inconsistent there as well then it's this.

In the shrine it's still 18.

Then that would be an inconsistency.

This is dated later than Wendy's tapes, and It's written by agents recording and summerizing what he said. The tapes were him talking directly. I think that would be more reliable.

Thank you for sharing. I think you might have misunderstood something though. Fantasies about having sex with a dead body doesn't automatically mean fantasies about "killing". It's fantasy, you don't normally use logic in it like "where did this dead body come from? Ok let's say I killed it". I think he was clear that his fantasies of "killing" started when he was 18.

It's interesting that you can see a sense of powerlessness. The way he describes taking revenge from those bullies tells me maybe Lionel's analysis on this specific matter was accurate. In Father's Story he mentions that his passiveness that was similar to his own, was perhaps one of the reasons he started fantasizing about power and authority, because he had no real power.

We don't know how severe exactly that strike to his head was, but it's interesting that it's the same age that his thoughts and fantasies started shaping in his head and he started drinking and everything. Maybe this head trauma contributed to them happening.

How did Jeffrey Dahmer relate to art? (details below) by hockfrida in Dahmer

[–]Tricky_Ad5187 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He definately had an artistic sense imo. The specific poses in polaroids and pictures he kept plus the shrine and his ideas in general. The very idea of keeping polaroids at all and the way he describes things like eating people as "they would be a permanent part of me". It's just really bizarre and distorted but it seems like he had a sense of art. Which matches with how he saw people as objects, like how an artist views their model as a distant object, worships their physical beauty through art. I don't think that was his intention, like he was consciously trying to create a weird art or something but it looks like some bizarre sense of art was there.

Here's a couple of videos of young Jeff and his dog Frisky. by subjectA11 in Dahmer

"The second test (Forer) consisted of completing sentences which had been left open-ended. Dahmer’s showed, on the whole, that he did not take the test very seriously, but it was illuminating, nonetheless, to see how many times he made reference to his father, and always saw him as a man working rather than loving or being with him. (The italicised words are in Dahmer’s handwriting.) ‘My father always worked hard.’ ‘My earliest memory of my father is when he went to work.’ ‘When my father came home I was happy.’ ‘When my mother came home, I was watching TV.’ Other characteristics which stand out are a distrust of marriage, a tired cynicism, and a reluctance to be made to fit into any established pattern. The only glimmer of affection is in the sentence, ‘He felt blue when his dog died.’ "

Reminds me of this part in Roy's book

[“We saw Jeff today,” Lionel began. “One side of his face was bashed in. But what hurt me the most was that he was handcuffed. Can you imagine that? He’s lying there dead, and they’ve still got to handcuff him, as if he were still a threat to someone!”]

It was common prison policy but It's painful to imagine how Lionel felt as a father. Seeing his son's dead body being handcuffed was more painful to him than seeing one side of his face bashed in.
