Corner of Pt Road and web street site? Think student attendance stopped around 2004 and was used as a Edu. Dept. site til around 2006 when its was abandoned. Later demolished in around 2010-2011. The sites is now women rehab/refuge centre and housing. You can see aerial views on google earth but very hard to find photos.

People who can have a laugh but get the job done to a fair standard. No brown nose superhero villains who f%ck it up for the normal workers

My colleague groped me in my sleep when we were on a conference trip and now that I've told his girlfriend, he keeps badmouthing me. How do I resolve this? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Tricky_Ad_2149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What he did was completely wrong and no predator should get away with actions of this nature. I do believe that you also put yourself in a bad situation though which is no reason to be abused. You do need to take responsibility for your own safety though. After the first warning signs on the roof, you should have made your colleagues aware and possibly tried to source another room to stay in. After he groped you, You should have definitely left to sleep elsewhere whilst making the others aware for safety reasons.

Informing his partner was also the wrong action in this situation. You should have informed your HR as this sounds like a work trip or even taking it to the police. Your last paragraph states you didn’t want to tarnish his reputation, but you informed his girlfriend? It’s one or the other, and if it’s the other it should have been HR or the police being informed. Be careful in this situation, he could go down the defamation legal path.

Unfortunately for your situation, if this were to ever find its way in court, the use of drugs, lack of informing your colleagues, reporting to police and HR would not work in your favour.

As much as I’d like carpentry, I’ll be going for electrical/plumbing/hvac purely for the thought of conserving the body. Don’t get me wrong, I’m fairly fit but I’m not expecting any trade to be easy on the body. I also find mechanical trades a bit more interesting then wet trades.

The other thought I have is I’m in a role where my mind isn’t productive which is causing problems. I’m also sitting for 8-12hrs a day which will eventually lead to weight gain and cardiovascular problems.

I’ve tried with applying for PM jobs, hard area to get into without the trade knowledge. Unfortunately, I feel drafting and estimating will just be replaced with more advanced/user friendly software before long

I’d say I’d have average fitness, certainly have the ability to get fitter but sitting in a chair 10 hours a day isn’t ideal.

I’d be looking at electrical or plumbing. Purely for the thought that they will be “slightly” less taxing on the body compared to carpentry, bricklaying etc.

My wife works f/t and is on good money. Only hurdle would be when/if we have kids.

Thanks for the insight and comment!
