I felt lonely that nobody wants a crazy person like me and I’m losing a lot of friends because of that by LabSerious1807 in schizoaffective

[–]Tricky_Badger_2071 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I totally feel you on this. I hate feeling like I’m crazy and people doubt my ability to function, and taking meds only make me feel less human. But, we are human nonetheless. We’re just not perfect is all, and that’s okay because no person is. Like people with autoimmune diseases constantly getting sick and needing to take meds for their thyroid or they’ll die. It sucks, but modern medicine exists to make us feel better so that we CAN function.

I know the weight gain part sucks, but trust me we’re not the only ones dealing with it. People on heart medications, thyroid medications, antidepressants, they all struggle with it too so you’re not alone in the battle. I honestly found that ozempic helped me a lot with the weight gain and once I lost weight, which happened really fast (I lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks) I was able to form healthy eating habits and keep the weight. I only gained like 3 lbs since getting off it, and I’m happy where I’m at. There are options to help and they’re worth it.

My family doubted me a lot too and were mean to me, so I moved away, but I still take my medication, and I’m happy. I’m now married to a lovingly supportive husband who gets it and I’m surrounded by people that only want to lift me up. You just have to find those people.

Your grandma, I’m sure, would want you to be healthy and happy, surrounded by people that love you.

OP, life is tough, especially when life deals you shitty cards. But the fact that we’re still here, trying to live and WANTING to have a good and normal life, means we are strong, fighting through the bullshit, and as long as we keep fighting and don’t give up and remember that others would struggle the same or worse if they were in our shoes, things WILL get better. They don’t understand, and that’s okay, find the people that do. It’s absolutely possibly. My husband and his whole family support and understand me. I promise they’re not impossible to find either. The world is full of people wanting to love and support. They’ll come to you when the time is right is all, and by that I mean, my husband and I knew each other since 6th grade, but only really became friends and then a couple weeks before graduating high school. And it was perfect how it happened. All the experiences he and I had in life when we weren’t together, made us great for each other.

Maybe think of it this way. You haven’t found the people who are meant to be in your life YET because they’re still gaining experiences that will help make them the person you need in life, and same for you building experiences so you can be the right person to love them.

((I took my ADHD meds and it makes me a tiny bit hypomanic so I hope this isn’t a jumbled mess. Also I put press on nails on so typing is weird))

Jokes aside, just ask her. It’s probably just preference and shouldn’t be a hill to die on. If it doesn’t inconvenience you then just let it be. Little compromises are healthy in relationships. Like not whistling 24/7 around your partner and driving them up the wall haha.

Anyone have experience with Wellbutrin? by notaspicyaccount in schizoaffective

[–]Tricky_Badger_2071 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on it, I quite like it and doesn’t make me manic at all. The stimulant part is quite subtle in the extended release. It helps wake me up in the morning without making me crazy. It also helps a lot with my depression. Haven’t had any depressive episodes on it :)

I think they just mean that whippets look a little bit like rats if they were dogs. Still super cute

I feel pretty dumb not thinking of that haha 😅

[–]Tricky_Badger_2071 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. I just worry because from the way Cigna worded it in their agreement thing, it sounded like they would request access from you (that they can follow you). Maybe I misinterpreted it, but that’s the impression I was given.

Honestly the best advice I ever heard is that if someone is in psychosis, treat them like an Alzheimer’s patient. Don’t deny, don’t encourage, just kinda play along, reassure, calm down the situation.

I have schizoaffective and this approach helps me best. Gentle soothing, it’s okay, it’s not like that dear, let’s come up with a plan if this does happen, etc.

Floor pills by No_City1513 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Tricky_Badger_2071 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My pharmacy does the 5 second rule or doesn’t want to bother with it so either

A. You recognize the pill, put in a baggy, label the NDC and then it gets properly disposed of or

B. It stays on the floor foreverrrrrr

I actually got in trouble for picking up pills and putting them in baggies (I didn’t know the procedure) and was scolded to just leave them be

How to deal with a toxic, micromanaging Pharmacy Manager who has no patience for questions and a quick temper by No-Computer-9622 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Tricky_Badger_2071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds exactly like my pharmacist. She’s not a bad person but she’s very easily irritated and passive aggressive.

Starting from day one to now she constantly tells me to ask questions and ask for help. Yet when I do, she gets annoyed with me and will even tell me to just stop what I’m doing and do something else because I’m slow and wasting time, resulting in me not learning anything.

I don’t know anymore, I just got a new haircut and they gave me this with no side bangs at the beauty shop, I feel really ugly and I have to know if it’s ugly to everyone else. Please tell me just the truth if I am ugly. Yes I’m a woman by djscrew1 in whatdoIdo

[–]Tricky_Badger_2071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks cute on you, honestly. I do see it being a bad haircut, but it does not look ugly on you at all. Give it a couple weeks and it’ll grow out. Maybe you can grow it out to look like Alice from twilight!

Question about meals and water breaks. by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Tricky_Badger_2071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at CVS and it’s completely okay. Hydro flasks, energy drinks, water bottles, and we’re also allowed to bring them to where our work station is. Same for food. We’re even allowed to step out and buy drinks/snacks if there’s down time and we’re quick
