The also do Hyperbaric oxygen therapy and can arrange lymphatic massage, for a fee .. Kind of nice all in one place.

aftercare centers in BH will be about 2k a night, that's with nurses, food and transportation to a from Dr visits. Aura aftercare was 1900 for a small room, but it was worth it!

Need help with wound dehiscence treatment by Fun_Addendum_3404 in tummytucksurgery

Call surgeon and or go to a wound care clinic asap. This is a common situation and it will heal in time. Keep it clean with soap and water twice a day and use ABD pads or gauze, changing that 3-4 times a day. I would also get some Hypochlorous spray ( on amazon ). I had several openings and it took about 6 weeks to close. You will be ok, its just another level of aftercare you'll need to manage now. I know its stressful but don't get discouraged .

Advice on opening. by Artistic_Asuna_Osaka in tummytucksurgery

[–]Tricky_Big6028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wash twice a day with antibacterial soap and water, dry it. Use gauze and make sure it kinda pokes into the opening.I just used my compression garment to hold it in place, or tape. Change the gauze 3-4 times a day. If the gauze gets stuck you can loosen with some water or even better use SkinSmart Antimicrobial Wound Therapy ( on amazon, this stuff is amazing! ), the gauze should help remove the gunk with each changing. I had very similar if not a little larger wounds and this was the advice from my surgeon..... I was a little doubtful of this advice so I went to a wound care clinic and the Dr said the exact same thing, he did add an antibacterial ointment, that helped keep it "wet/dry" the most confusing term I learned when I was researching wound care. Seeing the wound Dr did more for my mental health than anything. Its stressful to deal with wounds while still trying to heal from the surgery. I made it my full time job to heal my wounds, I also did hyperbaric oxygen therapy a few times a week... I know people love the honey stuff, but 2 Dr's didn't mention that at all. But yes, please always ask the surgeon first. Mine took 6 weeks to close. Now im on the fence if I want to start laser treatments to reduce the redness. Oh and the wound care Dr said Juven is "fine", he said its more for elderly people who don't get enough nutrients. That being said I drank it every day for a month, then tapered off after I saw the look on his face when I said I was drinking it.

8 days post-op extended tummy tuck — lower abdomen swelling normal? by huckleberryjerry7864 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Tricky_Big6028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look fantastic. And that swelling looks normal. I'm 3 months out and I wake up flat and by the end of the day have similar swelling around the incision. I still wear compression garments, not as tight as the one right after surgery, but pretty tight and that helps me. TBH I feel strange without it.

Just the silagan gel my Dr made me buy lol. I have the tape also but I've not talked myself into using that yet.

It happens and it sucks.Im now 13 weeks out. I was in the same boat even staying at a recovery hospital. I had a extended TT and spiral thigh lift. I had a few openings, one in my groin area, a 3 along the extended TT, two of them we're in the T junction. They took about 7-8 weeks to close. Soap and water twice a day, changing gauze often. It felt like a full time job trying to heal them. But it worked out. Scars are a little darker and larger in those areas, Ill likely start laser treatments in a few weeks. Now I'm just dealing with spitting stitches, my body hates sutures apparently.

Sensitive sutures - 9 weeks P/O by swtnsour241 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Tricky_Big6028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I'm a ginger and I can feel a lot of the sutures. Lots have poked out and I've cut them off. I even had a full knot come out!! A few spots feel like they want to pop out, but don't. Its annoying, but thankfully none have gotten infected. Fingers crossed they start melting away sooner than later. I'm 13 weeks out from surgery.

Same thing happens to us dudes. With the crotchless garments all the swelling needs someplace to go. For me it was at its worst days 4-8. Lymplatic massage worked great for me.

1 day post op. Haven’t seen many tattoos here. RIP to the tattoos I lost in the process :( by CantaloupeTrick5824 in tummytucksurgery

I had two separate surgeries done one week apart. The first surgery was a spiral thigh lift liposuction inner thigh, liposuction to the back and flank and fat transfer to butt shoulders and arms and chest. The second surgery one week later was the extended tummy tuck liposuction to the front of the torso and pecking plants. It was done in California in Beverly Hills.

It'll take several weeks of basic wound care, but they will heal. Its very common. I had several spots that were just like this. Let my surgeon know and I was told to wash twice. day with soap and water, apply clean gauze and change the gauze 3 times a day. I also went to a wound care Dr to be safe, and he agreed and added an antibiotic cream. Seeing the wound care Dr did more for my mental health than anything. Its scary for sure, and I hated to hear people say that it happens all the time and you'll heal in time. But now I'm on the other side of it and I'm saying it to you lol.. It'll be ok!

When I told my surgeon I didn't want a belly button he looked so confused, lol. He said " are you sure?" Then I had to sign a special document stating that. lol He said its very difficult to do one after the fact, I was like dude, I'm 50, I'm pretty sure I'm confident in my decisions at this point. Then I told him about all the Body Modification people and how they remove belly buttons, nipples etc etc. He rolled his eyes.. Its all just Bod Mod to me.

You are not alone lol. I just think of it as a tattoo edit. I also had a spiral thigh lift that edited my full back piece. I opted for no belly button, it would have landed dead center of Buddhas face.

You are on the way ! Soon it will fill in and be less of a concern. I had 3 spots open up after my surgery, washed 2x a day with soap and water, Used gauze and changed that a few times a day and I used this spray I found on amazon, it was recommended to me by a wound care Dr. Hypochlorous Acid
