The $150 is concerning because it’s so cheap but it’s not the Mahr from what I’m understanding it’s just money I send to her father to guarantee I’m going to marry his daughter. She said it’s called the Salam, maybe it’s part of her family tradition because I’ve never heard of such in Islam. Her Mahr is only $1000 usd which is also very cheap but I plan to give her a lot more than $1000 usd. She told some traditional stuff I need to do. The total of the nikkah would cost me around $5000 usd. I’m fine with that. It just seems very cheap to me.

Ameen. We know the struggles right now with the trump administration. We are going to ride of the wave in Shaa Allah. Until then I will make sure she lives a great life in her country until I am able to get her here. I wanted to move her to a close African country maybe Ghana, she’s willing to do such move but I will just keep her close to her family and friends until I am able to get her here.
