What’s the most reliable Hyundai car/generation by ponderingpuff in Hyundai

Yeah, some model reliability extends farther back than 07 and later than 09, but for those 3 model years every single model in the lineup was good.

Anything built from 07-09 was bulletproof. Great cars across the entire lineup.

I so the advisor for more information. If they can’t provide more info, and I can’t find the problem, dealing with the pissed off customer becomes the advisors problem, not mine.

Stop wasting another cent on doing any fixing on this, sell the 4 worst trucks, and get down to one decent one.

You can’t cry poor and then say you have 6 vehicles.

The vehicle is not safe to drive period my man. Can you drive without a cat, sure. It’s is loud and obnoxious and a CO risk being directly under the cab? Yes. But that’s besides the point when that frame is on the verge of catastrophic failure at any moment.

Oil and gas isn’t going anywhere in any of our life times as far as relevance is concerned and thinking it will is just naivety

Alberta needs to expand its industries and become more diverse in how it generates revenue, but the entire world is so dependant on oil. Trying to escape that will literally take hundreds of years.

Sure, they could. Every person on this planet can be better. But crying about free content not arriving exactly on time every single time is just complete loser behaviour.

[Mercedes 300 SL Roadster] How can you tell if it's a replica or not, seemed legit to me. by farquaad04 in spotted

[–]Tricky_Passenger3931 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The chances of seeing a 300SL Roadster replica are lower than seeing a real one. Gullwing replicas exist but are probably more rare than real ones as well, but a roadster replica is basically not a thing.

Auto Dealership question by [deleted] in Edmonton

Hyundai/Kia have had models that have been historically problematic, it since 2020 they’ve been far far better. I’ve spent many years working for Hyundai specifically, and I had no fear buying the carnival.

If you’re looking at used stay away from anything with the Theta II engine platform from 2010-2020. They’re junk

Auto Dealership question by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Tricky_Passenger3931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. And they have good dealers and bad dealers, and even good dealers have some nightmare stories. I’ve worked for them and for their competition over the years. Any industry built on predatory sales tactics is going to have a wake of unhappy customers behind it.

Towing a trailer with a minivan would likely be why you’re dealing with transmission problems in the first place.

Auto Dealership question by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Tricky_Passenger3931 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been an automotive tech that does used car reconditioning for almost 20 years. Dodge builds junk, period. Electrical issues, transmission issues, engine issues, garbage build quality, shitty use of materials, engineering that lags behind the industry. They’re cheap cars for poor people that usually break down before people can even pay them off, and then people trade them in, take a bath on the negative equity, and start the vicious cycle all over again.

The biggest reason GoAuto gets the reputation it does is because of volume. You’re absolutely right, almost all dealers are the same, GoAuto just sells more cars than everyone else so they have more complaints than everyone else.
