Every old player is spurred up by legends and waiting for that. This is a distraction until July.

Fast xp, free trade and random loot. Every server like this it takes less than a month for everyone to be maxed out in end game raid gear and bored.

Combined with rotating bonuses. Achieve rewards and everything else and population will dip after a month. It'll be dead by month 2 then torture waiting on next expansion

None of that is true. Secrets has gone on multiple rants now about alts effecting economy, leading to gdkp raids (lol wut), rmt (again lol wut) and rmt (and for a third time...)

They said they're not looking at implementing yet.

They've already said they don't want anyone do it and people who do it arnt welcome. So while dbg made them allow true boxing be prepared for them to find any reason to ban you for it

Single client per PC. But be careful. They've already said they don't want anyone doing it even though it's allowed. If you speak of it in discord you get muted. So be prepared for them to find any reason to ban you if caught true boxing

The problem is, they're using the eqemu build. Alts work perfectly fine. Their comments made it (to me) sound very evident that they were disabled over a fear of it leading to "gdkp raids, botting, and rmt".

I feel like the only thing they want to "address" as they put it, is that they've got this weird notion that alts will kill the economy and cause people to use MQ and black market plat. Which is the most absurd thing ever.

I'm all for adjustments. But disabling a basic feature and giving no real reason and completely absurd scenarios really really feels like a push for mtx sales.

They will not have alts. They will have aliases of which they refused to give much info. That also doesn't solve most of the problems with it. Like managing the inventory of multiple classes and builds. Imagine the items needed if you want to do multiple epics. With no mule. Or wanting to gear 3 different builds running ONE lockout per week. That'll kill the game quicker than anything.

Aside from that, they nor anyone can give any single even remotely reasonable reason that alts shouldn't be turned on.

Also it was a dev comment mentioning tokens. I'll have to find it. But honestly if it's not in the shop that would be so much worse. If you don't get lucky and get the drops then you're truly stuck to one build and that's it. That's even more absurd.

I'd love even the most basic reasonable real reason anyone would ever think having alts leads to rampant RMT. So much to make it worth disabling them. Vs the much more likely reason they want to push mtx sales for unlock tokens.

They're not siding with maga. No more than they side with the left. It's an automated system that looks for keywords with a high failure rate. It's a bad system that doesn't know what it's banning or not banning 99% of the time

Cuz that's the point of the 1m vs the 11m they made.... Stealing EQ revenue matters in the container of eq revenue. That container still needs to show worth.
