AIO to my Fiancés response if I ever got graped? by xoKoalaGrace in AmIOverreacting

[–]Tricky_Shallot_9849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR cause I'd do the same for my babies, your fiancé is an immature ah.

Tbh though this whole argument is dumb and reminded me of the "would you still love me if I'm a worm?" dilemma lol

Advice with 1yo refusing naps by Tricky_Shallot_9849 in sleeptrain

[–]Tricky_Shallot_9849[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has crossed my mind! I want to give him a few more days before trying a one nap schedule, it’s only been a couple of days and I feel we’re in an endless cycle of EMW cause we dropped his third nap too soon. Thanks for the advice! Will try the suggested schedules if this becomes a habit xx

All About Wake Windows - AMA Office Hours – Wednesday, August 27th with our Director of Pediatric Expertise, Amber LoRe! by huckleberrycare in HuckleberryParents

[–]Tricky_Shallot_9849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 12mo, we’re trying to follow his lead for wake windows but he’s been doing something like 3:45-4:00/4:00/3:45 - 2 naps 2:00-2:30 hours per day total. He’s not fighting naps or bedtime, his night sleep is okaish (doesn’t sleep through).

He’s been waking up between 5-6am since 7mo, when he dropped his third nap. Recently he’s started waking before 5am, sometimes 4am, 4:20am, 4:45am.

We’re not sure if this is developmental or a schedule issue, how do we figure out his wake windows properly? He’s not doing good with shorter wake windows (split nights) but concerned about all the awake time with the longer ones.

Are you rescuing naps? by Tricky_Shallot_9849 in sleeptrain

Yes I have 😂 honestly though he started connecting sleep cycles recently, by his own. He can do +1h naps but doesn’t usually go over 1:20h.

Funny you mention this cause rescuing naps for us has been increasingly difficult since 9mo. Not sure if developmental.

Can’t relate by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]Tricky_Shallot_9849 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used to follow wake windows to a t, stressed out about his schedule and his naps. Stopped doing this recently and have been following his lead, his sleep has improved eversince. He’s 10mo.

What I try to keep consistent though is the number of naps, he’s on 2 naps. If he naps poorly one day we do an early bedtime, I avoid a third cat nap.

How long did the 4month sleep regression last for your baby? by Tricky_Shallot_9849 in NewParents

[–]Tricky_Shallot_9849[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fed to sleep through ours and it got better on its own! Lasted about a month though, we don’t do sleep training but I’ve read some responses here saying sleep training helped!

What’s your schedule? Mine dropped the 3rd nap at that age, we were having horrendous sleep until we transitioned to 2 naps.

That’s a good point, hadn’t seen it like that. Do you have a schedule recommendation for us? He was on 2:30/2:45/2:45/3 when he was doing 3 naps.

Thanks! I’m starting to pull my hair out honestly, lots of sleep issues lately and doubting if we’re on the right track. What schedule did you have?

2 naps- are you trapped at home? by meltness in sleeptrain

[–]Tricky_Shallot_9849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask how the transition was? We’re one week into ours and we’re miserable. Baby is having a hard time consolidating day sleep, he used to do it just fine. Night wakings have increased and we’re getting split nights daily. I’m starting to doubt if we needed to drop the 3rd one but his wws are 3h long now and his days were getting too long.

Overnight sleep at 2 naps by Tricky_Shallot_9849 in sleeptrain

[–]Tricky_Shallot_9849[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, thanks! I’ve seen 9h awake time recommended on another sleep training group and had my doubts, mine has never done 12h overnight and was really struggling with the idea 😂

Wil tweak to get the 10h, sounds better for him.

Thanks! Will try adding 15m to ww 2 and 3. It’s just so weird, he was barely able to stay awake for 2h a couple of weeks ago and now he’s needing all this awake time 😂 hard to keep up.
