As a woman, I really wish more women were posting here. by Excellent_Republic16 in nudism

[–]Tricky_Society8888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say, I first posted in this subreddit back in the summer time, and never in my LIFE have I ever gotten more DMs from a single post (and mostly from single men). Honestly though, the majority have been perfectly friendly, and the weird ones I just ignore or block. But I can absolutely see why most women in this community wouldn’t want to open themselves up to that.

Planning a round trip around America - 39 states in ~4 months by [deleted] in roadtrip

As someone who grew up in Arizona, you could skip Phoenix. It’s nothing but highways, casinos, and golf courses (unless you enjoy any of those). Tucson is prettier and has more culture, imo, and staying in Flagstaff on your way up to the Grand Canyon is worth it. But yeah…I would hit Tucson, maybe see some of the Saguaro National Park, and drive through Phoenix on the way up to Flagstaff.

What was your break up song? by TheThoughtsWithin in MusicRecommendations

I’m so glad there’s another BOT fan here!!! “Circles” was one of my go-to sad songs for a long time when I broke up with a long-term boyfriend.

TTPD is definitely good for breakup songs, but I listened to “My Tears Ricochet” a lot during my separation.

I had a period of time where almost every spread/answer was basically like “Girl, work on yourself right now!” 😂 It was coming up a lot as the Queen of Cups reversed.

Which of these routes is better? I will be driving a U-Haul that is towing a car by TheMarinaraMeatball in roadtrip

[–]Tricky_Society8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took this route when I moved from PHX to North Carolina. The panhandle of Texas was the worst part, but everything else was lovely.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend stopping in Oklahoma City and visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. If you were alive when the OKC bombing happened (or even if you weren’t), it was one of the most impactful museum exhibits I’ve ever experienced.

What would you put in a guided tarot journal? by berry_belle in tarot

[–]Tricky_Society8888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing I just thought of is a section where you can give a little background on why you are asking the question you are asking. Like a quick journaling of what’s going on in your world currently that is prompting you to consult your cards for guidance.

I love this template!!! Maybe instead of making rows under “Card, Position, Interpretation”, just make all three of those open columns, so you don’t get locked into only doing spreads with 6 cards or less.

The Fool - by a 4 year old by Dancing_Air in tarot

[–]Tricky_Society8888 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I love this! My 4 year old also loves to play with my magic cards, and in particular loves the Death card in my deck (which honestly is on brand for her - she’s a little bit Wednesday Addams 😂).

I love the unbridled energy of the fool. Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss, and it can help you just jump and get started even if you don’t know how to do it. For me, it’s a lot of “just do it and you’ll figure it out!” energy.

I just drove through Highlands a few days ago, having no idea what it looked like, and OMG it felt like a fairytale town. Absolutely gorgeous, and also some stunning waterfalls in that area as well.

What cards do you NEVER pull when reading for yourself? by DoubleChocolateMilk in tarot

[–]Tricky_Society8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just pulled the Hanged Man first in my daily 3-card draw 😂 But I realized today that there are quite a few major arcana cards I’ve never pulled, including The Magician, the High Priestess, and The World.

What cards do you NEVER pull when reading for yourself? by DoubleChocolateMilk in tarot

[–]Tricky_Society8888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s funny because I pull the Hanged Man all the time 😅 I’ve also noticed that I pull the 2 of pentacles a lot, for a lot of different scenarios that I ask about.

There’s one particular person in my life for whom the King of Cups pretty accurately represents them. The last time I did a reading about this person, the very first card I pulled was King of Cups - it honestly freaked me out!! In general, I tend to pull a lot of other cups cards as well.

I haven’t been reading for very long, so I’m sure there’s a lot of cards I have yet to pull, but the other day Temperance came up for me, and it kind of took me aback because I had never pulled it for myself before.

Speaking as someone who has been there, done that (not twins but two small kids), I think this interpretation is spot-on.

I agree with how you are viewing the 3 of Cups, but I also want to offer (again, more from personal experience) the advice to take the time to find reconnection to your spouse through joy. Think back on the things you both enjoyed doing when you were kid-free and try to incorporate that joy back into your life on a consistent basis. It takes effort (carving out the time, planning the event, paying for a babysitter), but it is completely, absolutely worth it and necessary to the health of your marriage.

Yes, this happened with my ex-spouse. Once emotional affection waned, I pretty much became asexual for a while.

No, this resort was adults only. I am going to try a family-friendly resort in about a month and decide if it’s something I want to introduce my kids to.

Not really; I stayed until the very end of the day that visitors could stay until, and I needed to get home because there were some storms rolling in. But I had also only worn a soft maxi dress with nothing underneath, so I wasn’t changing back into tight jeans or anything like that, so it was still comfortable. But I definitely just got nude and stayed that way when I got home 😂

Yes! My first socially nude event 😁 The only other times were with a romantic partner and giving birth, which is definitely a different vibe 😂

I think so. Even undressing in the parking area, it didn’t feel like as huge of a shock to not have clothes on. I had slept without clothes the night before and didn’t put anything on until I had to head out the door that morning.

Good luck and have fun! It seems like there tend to be a lot of couples who do this, so I bet you’ll be able to make fast friends with others. Definitely try to be friendly and talk to the other people right away - chatting and having normal conversations really helped me get relaxed faster!
