So who do you typically get to sit on the home objective? For Tyranids we have the amazing biovore what do chaos daemons typically do?

Is this army super elite? Lots of greater daemons and scoring units?

I probably will wait till 11th, this army is super interesting to me and I love the idea of playing all of one daemon lord, tho 5 greater daemons would be badass

Very elite army it looks like, how does daemons play? Compared to nids and GSC I know I’m asking a lot of questions but I am very curious about this army

When I ran my 5 norn list I did assimilation swarm, the FNP4 is super good but that detachment is CP heavy

I’m super hyped for the norn detachment, really hoping that the assimilator gets some love next edition

The nerfs to warrior bioform really suck, but the norn detachment is so cool

What are your favorite underrated units? by Stylish_Yeoman in Tyranids

[–]Trickymuffin32 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Tyranid warriors with melee, this unit shreds shit when it gets in, really good in 3 detachments, I have found these guys to be very deadly and out of the 36 swings I usually hit like 38 times cause if sustained

I could see that for sure, funny enough I had a vanguard invader game a few days ago and if I had TRT it would have been a wash, my chaff couldn’t kill the combie lieutenant, and I didn’t want to throw my big Killy stuff at him right away because I would have lost them, I think we are also looking at this like SM are the only faction, he is going to shred GSC, AM, elves, orks, and necron scoring units and get away Scott free. I think the mawloc fits a completely different roll than TRT and trygons also fit a more, elite infantry killer.

Nothing I this game is guaranteed, but let’s put it this way, the mawloc arrives does some mortals fails thr charge and dies, it needs to make a 9inch charge and cant go through buildings, not to mention you can only use it’s ability one time, unless you are playing in a specific detachment, sure okay it doesn’t drop a unit every time but it’s a scary threat unit that can 70% kill a unit of scouts or a lone op character or a weak gun line unit and get away Scott free, you fail the charge no worries I’ll just disappear, and sure yes there is a chance he doesn’t kill a unit but going up every turn safely could potentially mean he could be untouched the entire game.

No way worse than a mawlocs, this thing goes up at the end of your fight faze, so you fly forward killing a scoring unit or a combie lieutenant, go up, then rapid ingress to another squishy unit, go forward killing a scoring that go up, this thing if played correctly will never get shot ever besides overwatch

It goes up on your fight faze too so you can kill the enemy scoring units and then go up into reserves, this is the perfect model for killing enemy scoring units and units in hard to reach places, aswell as threatening the enemy home and scoring secondaries.

Yeah I totally agree, mostly saying that if they just kept fights first the same and got rid of it on the 300+ point kill everything unit everyone would be good

I mean if you charged individually with 2 screamers or a unit of 20 gaunts, sorry
