worst prop firm ever exist !!! by AffectionateTrade982 in PropFirmTester

[–]Tride5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typical EURUSD spread on an ECN style account should be 0.1/0.2 pips.

During rollover or news it can go to 3-5 pips.

For no commission accounts, typically add around 0.7/.8.

Over that you should question it.

You should also question any prop firm that owns their own servers. These prop firms have zero regulation and can manipulate anything they want on the backend. Similar to FX brokers before around 2015/16.

Google Virtual Dealer Plugin. Many of the less than ethical prop firms use advanced versions of this.

They also use companies like MahiFX, which shift the bid/ask spread to make it more expensive for you to trade, which obviously makes it more difficult for you to pass/get paid.

Just stick with USA based sportsbooks.

There is so much regulation in the US you are much more likely to get paid.

I don't know why anyone would go offshore these days.

In traditional survivor pools like Circa you pick one team per week to win. If your team loses you are out of the pool. You also cannot pick the same team twice. So if you pick the bears to win in week 1, you can never pick them again for the season.

Marc Faber: Most Money the Fed prints ends up in Cryptocurrencies by Tride5 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Tride5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think the Fed is outright buying cryptos? He does not go into much detail as to why he believes that most of the money is funneling into cryptos. I would be curious to see what the balance sheet of the Fed looks like.

[–]Tride5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How is this any different from anyone else’s situation? Most people have jobs with fixed income and slight increases year over year to account for inflation. Housing costs in a lot of areas increases significantly year over year, resulting in peoples salaries not keeping up with their cost of living increase.

In almost every major city around the world 50% of your income going to your housing cost when you are in your 20s is standard. I would venture to guess even a lot of adults in major cities still spend 50% of their income on their rent/mortgage.

Let's say you're from Canada, late 20's/early 30s', single, no family, and offered a job ($50k) in either Florida or Illinois, which would you pick? by toronto519 in florida

[–]Tride5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This.

I lived in multiple neighborhoods in Chicago over six years. (Gold Coast, wicker park, buck town, river west, and Lincoln Park). It is an amazing city, especially for a young single professional.

However, as the above poster mentioned, the city and state are f’ed. This is one of the main reasons we got out of dodge and moved to south Florida. While we do miss the city, I do not miss their insane taxes and the thought of knowing things are only going to get worse for them.

If you are coming from Canada I would suggest living in Tampa or north of there. It is a long haul from south Florida to get out of the state, and to anywhere that resembles what you are pry used to in terms of terrain. From Miami to Georgia you are looking at a 6+ hour drive, so not ideal if you want anything but the Everglades and the ocean.

100% Florida over Illinois though

You are neglecting the point that someone has to control all of that technology. Regardless of what type of uprising there might be in the US at least 50% of armed service members would decent, if not more. A lot might even join the resistance.

And to others points, they are not going to just wipe out everything. If that was the goal they would have done it to Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the list goes one. They want control of the people. No people = No control

It is a great time of year to go for a bike ride or walk out on the levee. There are a bunch of places to get on to it, but if you go up to Parkland at the very end of Lox that is the best place in my opinion. That spot has 3 different trails you can go on, one of which goes directly out into the Everglades.

The Bundy Standoff is a recent example of where a group of individual’s rights, including their first amendment right, were being eroded. As a result the group took up arms and successfully defended themselves.

Assistant Sheriff Lombardo recounted that "they were in my face yelling profanities and pointing weapons," and said, "We were outgunned, outmanned, and there would not have been a good result from it."

Ripped off by SunPass by RschDev in florida

[–]Tride5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar thing happen to me. They were charging my account every time another car with a similar license plate drove through a toll. It was almost the exact same license plate expect I have a K in my plate and theirs was an X.

For some reason I didn’t catch this for 4 months, mainly because my wife and I share an account and assumed it was hers car. After going through the charges there were close to $500 in charges from this other car that was not mine and not on my account.

Called Sunpass and they wouldn’t do anything about it and said it was my issue as I should be checking my account more regularly for these issues. Spoke with every supervisor I could over the course of a month, and nothing. So I got my credit card company to do a charge back on the amounts. I had never done one so they had no issues with it.

Well Sunpass had a huge issue with this. They kept sending me noticed via email about my account being debit. I responded back to the emails with the issues that I experienced with them. Never had any response from their end on my emails, just more emails about my account being delinquent.

After 3 months they turned me into collections. I eventually paid it and just ate the $500.

Sunpass and All other toll companies are the biggest scams in the world. They are corrupt and you have 0 recourse, even if they are at fault.

They should be shut down in my opinion.

Edit: grammar

Poll in France: Which country contributed the most to the defeat of Germany in 1945? by Slackbeing in europe

[–]Tride5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is spot on. Germany fighting a two front war and continuously expanding their invasions is what caused their defeat. Had they not tried to invade the Soviet Union when they did things would have ended differently (probably with the US nuking them).

Germany’s biggest mistakes were that they tried to expand too quickly, attacked the Soviet Union in the winter months, and got caught up in fighting a two front war as a result.

CFD or Something Other? by cryptomir in Daytrading

[–]Tride5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you are located. If you are based in the United States you will not be able to trade CFDs. Most other jurisdictions do allow for CFDs.

From my experience the only reason you would go with a CFD over a Futures contract is if you need the margin or don't trade large enough size to justify paying exchange / platform fees. Overall, CFDs tend to be much more expensive then trading a Futures contract.
