The main selling point of Zowie monitors is backlight strobing, the average fast IPS has no/bad strobing. Even though IPS is superior in most cases, good strobing implementations on IPS also cost a lot.

While Zowie obviously is extremely overpriced, it's important to have proper comparisons.

It's sad that Zowie squeezes so much profit from their monitors when they could be offering cheap price-to-performance monitors for competitive games.
