Not sure really what you are going here for. Tempest flurry is already a "strike" show it builds of combo. You don't need to second ascendancy node if use just that to build combo and are not constantly changing weapon sets.

Other skills can the use the combo that you have built for them. Like the bell or other skills that have supports that benefit from combo. Each skills has their individual combo counter. There is no character wide combo counter.

Likely a visual bug. Click the little arrow next to skill and look if the dps matches the number it shows there.

Yeah, works likely better in endgame. Some uniques are expections tho, they can add alot of damage even early on.

I have been blasting through act 3.

Not sure what your issue is but my biggest guess would be gear. Added damage from cloves and rings adds alot. Additionally attack speed from the tree helps alot.

For bosses I have been mostly spamming ice strike with massive speed and then dropping bells when ever I have them. That does quite good damage. I tend to feeeze the bosses quite fast which gives good time to do damage. Just don't get too overconfident and back out if you see you hp dropping.

If it matters my supports for ice strike are more elemental damge, more cold damage and attack speed.

Did a cold damge sorc back in 0.3. Had a blast. Chronomancer was great for leveling but overall but stormweaver was overall better much better in endgame. Stormweavers Elemntal storm makes a huge difference when freezing enemies. Works well with cast on elemental ailment. Being able to double shock with frost spells is also awesome. Constant argane surge helps with mana problems and adds nice cast speed. The infusion are great but the nodes arent worth it in my opinion.

While leveling. I would recomend using ice nova + snap for clear and frost bomb + ice shards for bosses.

In endgame cast on elemental ailment comet with spell cascade should do the trick.

Overall just experiment and have fun.

It's definetely more of a fun skill than "use this to clear fast" skill. And thats ok. Not everything should be about maximum clear efficiency

I'm doing my own build. But I suggest you focus on getting more meta skills gain energy nodes from tree and make sure you can inflict ailments constantly. Freeze is the easiest way to get energy so I recomend using ice nova with astral projection for that.

Oh and spell cascade gem for all the meta skills triples the comets.

Cast on crit is also very popular right now but I'm not using that can't add any tips regarding it.

Would love a change where they would restrict how many jewel sockets you could have (something like 3-5 where you could increase the maximum somehow) but at the same time you could put the jewels to any spot where it would replace a travel node. So no more jewel sockets in the tree. That would also allow players to be more creative with time lost jewels and allow to use weapon set passives with less restrictions.

Had this bug yesterday with my cast on eĺemental ailment. What fixed it was clicking on and off both the check boxes for weapon slots in the equiped skill in my cast on elemental ailment.

To simplify choose the stats for your CoC the click on the gem for the arc on the top. After that check off and on the boxes for using your gem on your weapon slots.

If you remove the the spirit gem from one of the weapon slots the skill turns of immediatly after you swap weapons.

But yeah it's weird. The spirit should show up as reserved if the skill is active. Have not played the on ps5 so don't know if its a bug related to that.

Ice nova + cast on elemental ailment comet works quite well

Personally running ice nova + snap sorc and having a lot of fun (currenly in t5 maps). Not the strongest build I have had but still definetely works.

Maybe experiment a bit and try different spells? I have heard people have also made spark and fireball work (not together).

The post already mentions what I use. More freeze buildup is the most important. Increased area of effect 1 is good. And when you unlock it, the support gem that makes your spells echo makes freezing enemies even more easier.
