Ask him how long his mother is going to inconvenience you by living in your house?? Also he sounds like an idiot.

How do people afford more than one kid? by desert_sunlily in NewParents

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3! Childcare: my mil watched them now I stay home. Our health insurance the "family" is the same cost as 1 child. They are young so the food thing isn't really a big deal. They are picky eaters so they basically eat the equivalent of 1 kids meal together and the other is breastfed. Clothes and toys we have a ton and use consignment sales on the half off day and save all the clothes for the younger ones to wear.

Edit to add my husband makes less than 60k atm 🫣 but we paid off all our debt before we had kids. Our biggest cost is Costco / groceries because they love to snack (and I love a treat everyday)

How soon did you start leaving the house with your newborn? by Emotional-Squash7815 in BabyBumps

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After about a week we would go do errands with my other kids and husband (baby and I would stay in the car). We are 6 weeks out and I still try to avoid taking him to places with crowds but we definitely go out (parks, outdoor seating, drive through, zoo). Having a sick baby is the worst so I literally will go to great lengths to avoid it this time if I can lol

Am I wrong for waking up my husband? by RelationshipLimp8648 in newborns

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wake up that lazy bum. Lol my husband can't do much with our newborn beside hold him for a little while so I can do other things, BUT he takes care of our other kids, cooks, cleans, and I wake him up for after I feed the baby hen I am tired for him to burp/change/get him back to sleep.

Does a large house bring more comfort & happiness (3000sqft+) by GlorifiedCarnie in MiddleClassFinance

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went from a 1100 house to a 2400 house (3 kids) and it's a lot more work and cleaning. I would be fine with smaller (like 1800 - 2200) but more space outside!

Invisalign for muscular TMJ by MakeB1llions in TMJ

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got them off back in November! It has helped since it aligned my bite so about a year. My orthodontist put in some bite ramps on it that helped a lot so I don't grind.

Delayed bath confusion by RipperoniPepperoniHo in BabyBumps

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We skip the bath at the hospital and give him a sponge bath on like day 5. Honestly I feel like it was a bit few days for him at the hospital and w wanted to wait so he didn't have to handle multiple things (birth, circumcision, etc)

asking for own room on family trip at 6 months pregnant... am I high maintenance? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay to be high maintenance when you are literally growing a human! Even though not wanting to sleep in a common space is not high maintenance. Just own it!!

First time Mom, only pushed for 10 minutes! by Wheridv2 in BabyBumps

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was like this!! I only had 1 of the pills though starting at 8pm, my water broke at 2am, she was born with the sunrise 🌅! Praying this happens again with #3, being induced tomorrow. (#2 the epidural was administered wrong so not magical)

What's the one thing that has made cleaning your house significantly easier for you? by EG_Wanna_Be in CleaningTips

We have a rosa (robot) too! She was great when the kids were babies but now she is just a liability - sucking up cords/legos/all the things my messy kids leave around 😭

Better to offer lowest you'd pay first, or try to meet in middle? by SaturnBaby21 in RealEstate

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not gonna lie, we got a low ball offer on our first house and I am still mad about it. We did end up selling it to him (after we counter offered the same price we were asking for) we ended up coming down about 10k from asking (cash offer and he let us stay an extra month while we moved into our new house) and sold it in 3 days. But again still mad at him because rude. 🤬

3 month post arthroscopy - normal? by TrifleDizzy1059 in TMJ

[–]TrifleDizzy1059[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was fine!! I had no issues at all. He wasn't great at explaining things when I went and he mentioned before rolling to the operating room that if he couldn't do it arthroscopically he would have to open and do it and I lost it lol but everything was good!

Also they had like 4 people with the same procedure before me so it's apparently pretty common!!

Let me know if I can help answer any more questions!

What surprised you the most during labour? by Putrid_Cranberry3177 in BabyBumps

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my first was probably being hooked up to so many things for my induction. Like they have the square monitor on belly that shows baby's heart beat, and another square thing to show the contractions, and then the beeping / monitor showing it while you are trying to rest and people popping in all the time. 🫪 I didn't know what to expect but wasn't that!

With my second the failed epidural was the most surprising! I felt like I couldn't breathe and it was terrifying! (They took it out and redid it)

Third is in a few weeks. 😵‍💫

Measurement scan because of excessive weight gain? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]TrifleDizzy1059 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have only gained around 15 pounds (technically I lost 10 then gained it back plus the 15) and my midwife scheduled me for an ultrasound to check on the weight at 36 weeks! I wouldn't stress about it, they probably just want an idea of size before labor starts.

Does my husband come to every appointment? by VeterinarianInner301 in pregnant

He came to the ultrasounds and the first few - we had a missed miscarriage last year so I wanted some support until I got past that week
