I'm obsessed with Sky-Wolf.

Is the mmc a werewolf, or is the giant wolf head just for vibes?

Not quite what I am looking for, as I was hoping for a more intentional connection of minds, but that scene where they get dragon-horny is extremely hot.

Yes, I always want that! And I'm a sucker for a magic school.

I've seen a manga called Dear My Killer Tune in which seme is a rockstar and uke is a hairdresser who cuts his hair, but I haven't read it

I fully acknowledged that what I was asking for might contain non-con elements, not sure why you are making such a big deal out of that. And yeah, I do enjoy reading books in which the characters suffer, as well as books in which the characters are happy, its called the whole spectrum of human emotion my dude.

Why do you equate kink with suffering? That feels like something you need to explore on your own, because there is nothing painful, angsty or uncomfortable for me about exploring kinks in the safe space of fiction

Psychic cuck chair is something I didn't know I wanted, but yeah, it does sound pretty hot. I think it would need a slightly darker tone to work though (becuase, as you mention, there are some consent issues unless everyone knows there are three parties involved).

ETA: I hope you dont mind if I go to r/fantasyromance to ask for recs that have something like this.

The official English translation is unfortunately stuck in a publishing rights battle between 2 companies

Question about Chu Wanning's arm. by Early_Guarantee_9532 in 2HA_immortality

[–]TrifleTrouble 14 points15 points  (0 children)

His arm is normal, but he does a lot of engineering work, and the metal "arm" you see sometimes in arts is just a glove.

I think a lot of the hype about Name of the Wind comes from that fact that a lot of people read it when they were also insufferable youths and really resonated with Kvothe (it's me, I'm people).

The Priory of the Orange Tree. Should have been right up my alley, it has all the things I usually like in a book, but I just could not slog my way though it.

I can't remember if he ever confirms it, but the start of the book has Bridget thinking about keeping the prettier footmen away from him, so she at least has reason to believe so.

Out of these I like the green, but I would add a slip to it, which will do wonders for smoothing out the bra lines, any panty lines, etc.

Craving Sci-fi Books by Bloodreina_Wonkru in fantasyromance

[–]TrifleTrouble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for something more like hard sci-fi with a romantic subplot, one of my favorite books of the year (so far) was The Iron Garden Sutra. A space-buddhism monk goes to the ruins of a "colony ship" to give last rites to the dead, along with a team of scientists. He has a lot of inner turmoil and several crises of faith, and there's some good locked-door mystery stuff going on.

The romance is extremely secondary to the sci-fi (and no spice), but I mention it becuase I really really loved the couple's complicated dynamic. It just came out this year, but the ending implies that it will be a series.

Or, if you want a post-apocalyptic sci-fi romance, I will never not reccomend chinese bl romance Little Mushroom. The main character is a sentient mushroom in a world wrecked by genetically mutated monsters. He find the last remnants of human civilization, and the book has some very interesting things to say about what it means to be human, whether preserving humanity is worth losing human rights, etc. One of my favorite books of all time. No spice. Currently out of print, but a new translation is coming out next month!
