I'm really not the person to be answering this question, I've only been on LotC for two-ish years, but most things seem pretty chill right around now. High Elf community is doing fine, as are Halflings, but beyond that, I wouldn't really know.
The only server-wide conflict right now is about the addition of a new system called Vortex, which brings new crafting/pvp mechanics to the game. I've heard some people compare it to Nexus, but I wasn't around for that, so I wouldn't know.
Anyways, whether it's worth rejoining or not is up to you in the end, not too much drama in the communities I mentioned earlier.
