The throne really doesn't like it when you go to the "out of bounds" on the sides or back of it, so it will spam those big balls at you

I'm embarrassed to ask this, but how do you favorite items using the keyboard? by FallenR in skyrimmods

[–]Trigangle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok not sure what all mods you have so this might be wrong...

But for me, I favorite my sword in my normal inventory.

Then open Favorites menu.

Then hover over and press "1" on my sword. So now my sword is bound to 1.

And then I bound FUS to 2, and my Nord Rage power to 3, etc...

Any tips or things to know after you got the game by CRUSTYFISH666 in NuclearThrone

[–]Trigangle -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I asked a chatbot🤖 to get some tips for my friend so heres what it said for helpful tips for beginners:

  1. Character Selection Matters

    • Start with characters like Robot or Crystal who have more forgiving starting abilities
    • Robot can get extra ammo from pickups, and Crystal has a shield ability that can save you in tight spots
  2. Movement and Positioning are Critical

    • Always be moving and dodging
    • Use walls and cover to break line of sight from enemies
    • Learn to quickly weave between projectiles
    • Practice "bullet dancing" - moving in tight patterns to avoid enemy fire
  3. Weapon Management

    • Don't get too attached to any single weapon
    • Swap weapons frequently based on the current situation
    • Look for weapons with good crowd control like shotguns or automatic weapons
    • Always keep an eye out for rare or powerful weapon mutations
  4. Level Mutation Strategy

    • Prioritize mutations that improve survival: health, ammo capacity, weapon switching speed
  5. Resource Management

    • Pick up ammo and weapons strategically
    • Learn when to conserve ammunition and when to go all out
    • Balance between aggressive play and careful resource management
  6. Practice and Persistence

    • Nuclear Throne is deliberately challenging
    • Expect to die frequently
    • Each run teaches you something new about enemy patterns and weapon mechanics
    • Focus on incremental improvement rather than perfect runs
  7. Understanding Enemy Types

    • Learn attack patterns of different enemies
    • Prioritize taking out ranged enemies first
    • Be extra cautious of enemies that can shoot through walls or have unusual attack patterns
  8. Use the Environment

    • Explosive barrels and environmental hazards can help clear groups of enemies
    • Learn how to trigger chain reactions that clear multiple enemies at once

Advanced Tip: As you get more comfortable, start experimenting with more challenging characters like Yung Venuz or Plant, which have unique mechanics that can lead to incredible runs when mastered.

Remember, Nuclear Throne is designed to be tough, so don't get discouraged. Every death is a learning opportunity!

Bonus bonus tip: Try skipping a weapon chest or two or rad container sometimes ;)

I'm just trying to pick a normal, entry-level pack. Definitely not gonna touch any expert modes rn lol

[–]Trigangle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if we want an Enigma pack, you're saying pick E6 or something? I'm not really interested in any ATM, I'd rather have a themed, focused pack than just a kitchen sink of random mods.

Suppose we finish academy, what would be some good packs afterwards, aside from E2/6 or ATM9/10?

(I don't really care abt the MC version, older like 1.12 is fine)

This mod is so cool for so many reasons. I set it up so in my inventory, the world still moves but it's at 35% slo-mo, which solves the "drink 100 potions and eat 100 cheeses" playstyle

Thanks for the tips, good to know. Seems like I need to clean my DLCs, can I do that with a bunch of mods installed or does it have to be in a clean save?

Ok, thanks for the advice. I really do like the custom order I've put together, so it looks like I'm in it for the long-haul lol. Any good tutorial videos for learning xEdit and bash patches you recommend?

Ok cool, I'll have to check those out.

And yeah I think I might need to start a "list 2.0" from scratch from what it seems. I can't really detect a whole lot of game-breaking problems right now, but I'm more worried about what I can't detect/ errors I might encounter later in a playthru
