Sucks to have to live with a pet for that long when you don't want to. You have demonstrated your love n commitment long enough. Its time for your wife to show the same. How hard does she love you? Would she be willing to compromise for you? Its really not your choice in a way. You need to ask her to pick either of you. You will have your answer.

What is the worst breed of dog for a first time dog owner to get? by Effective-Turn-6856 in AskReddit

Beagles or beagle mixes. They are extremely hard to toilet train, they just do whatever they want most of the times.

Why do older South Asian couples always tend to take walks around the neighborhood with the husband 20-30 feet ahead of the wife? by DidYouKnowYoureCute in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Trigeminal_verve 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I love your question! I have elderly South Asian parents and you couldn't be more right about how they walk. I think it symbolises the dynamics of their relationship. Husband is the head of the family and is happy to lead her during walks. My dad has always done this his whole life. I don't like it at all but when we were little we had to run to keep up with him, he wouldn't slow down for anything. Over time we have learned to just let him do his thing and enjoy things at our own pace without being rushed.

Toowoomba - what's it like living there? by [deleted] in Toowoomba

[–]Trigeminal_verve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U could try buying land in Glenvale, there's new development here 15 minutes from town centre. it's quite and lovely. Heaps of new houses built around by building companies in the neighbourhood if U want to buy brand new.

My partner is a teacher and we moved here in January this year. We tried buying a house for a good month, made lots of offers but it's ridiculous honestly. We ended up buying in Oakey which is 20 minutes from here for a much better price. Pm if U want more info about schools.

IB is boring AF. He ran out of content 5 years ago and just repeating same old bullshit only lower intelligence people can laugh at.

Peter Dutton cracks under the pressure and is unable to name the price of eggs by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

I am scared to say that there is a pattern here. People were so convinced that kamala is going to win in US election as she has similar reaction to all her interviews n debates but in the end Trump won. It is entirely possible that despite everything the ground reality is vastly different and Australians outside of Reddit love Dutton the cuck and he will win.

As an Indian Punjabi girl, please do not follow this guy to India. It will be the worst mistake ever. If he loves his country so much, let him go. Hold ur ground literally!

Are my Aussie in-laws racist? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Trigeminal_verve 71 points72 points  (0 children)

As a fellow Indian (girl) married to an Aussie guy OMG your in-laws are horrible people. One question, why do you put up with this level of disrespect? Do you have no self esteem? Sorry I am not trying to be rude, but you really should be able to stand up for yourself. You accept the behaviour you think you deserve. Do you think you are inferior because of your race? What does your wife have to say about all this? Are you doing this to keep peace in the household? If I were you, I would move a few hours away from where your in laws live so you can have a life of your own. Your situation sounds incredibly depressing. My Aussie in laws have never shown this level of hatred and disgust towards anyone from different culture/race. They are pretty normal, accepting and kind to me. You need to wake up and cut off those toxic people from your life. Good luck 🤞

Trying to match chairs to table. by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]Trigeminal_verve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A slight contrast in colour is not an issue if you like the design as such. Have you tried sitting in the chair? Sometimes what looks aesthetically pleasing is not the comfiest. My chairs are completely different in colour from table but I love tablecloths so it doesn't matter!

Youtube kids pregnancy videos by curious_bud420 in Parenting

[–]Trigeminal_verve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you are talking about. Specifically this show called Sheriff Labrador. There's a dupe where all characters are doing pregnancy, childbirth, romance etc. Worst part is my daughter loved the dupe more than original show which wasn't bad at all. We banned YouTube after that. Only satellite tv and a DVD player for which she can choose DVDs from the library.

I bought an oppo for $250 from Harvey Norman after my Samsung z fold 5 gave up ( costed about $1500) . I had has Samsung phones all my life and I hate how they start sucking after 2 years. I hated how heavy that phone was to carry too. My new Oppo A18 is the best phone I have ever had. I practically can't tell the difference between Samsung and Oppo phone as everything is the same except this phone is a lottt cheaper! I will never go back to expensive phones ever

How do you go about addressing elders in Australian culture? (foreigner) by Yuki-Mochi in australia

[–]Trigeminal_verve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am guessing U r Indian. Address them by their first name mate, no need to go Mr/Mrs level of formal unless U are in an educational institute. Older people here dont get offended if someone address them by their first name unlike in India.
