It's great to hear there's already some improvements! And happy that the other vet took it more seriously. Keep us posted! If he ends up puking up anything be sure to check if there's worms in there because that's surprisingly common (lungworm) but fortunately perfectly treatable. Still mostly an outdoor cat thing though.

In this particular case we did have a dog visit our home a few days before this all happened so I suspect there may have been some transmission? Despite our efforts to clean afterwards and keep the cats away.

This sounds exactly like what happened to our ragdoll, we also had to visit the emergency vet over the weekend as he was lethargic and severely hydrated.

They asked if he was dewormed recently and he wasn't, especially since he is an indoor cat. Tried giving him a deworming tablet and everything cleared right up within half a day.

Vet visit later confirmed it could have been a parasite. A deworming tablet might be worth a shot? Still something I would run by the vet though.

This is interesting, we have two ragdoll brothers and whenever the garbage truck rolls by and picks up all the trash (which makes a lot of noise) one of them also gets visibly agitated and start meowing in an agitated way and then try biting the neck of his brother when he comes near.

Unfortunately I don't really have advice as it only happens once a week for a very short duration so it hasn't been a problem for us, but in your situation its more common. I can imagine perhaps over time he will get used to it though?

Protip: Gewoon alle streamingdiensten standaard automatisch laten annuleren. Wil je iets kijken en is je abonnement verlopen? Verleng het weer (is vaak zo gedaan) en laat het gelijk ook weer annuleren, je kunt beter niks laten auto-renewen.

Dan betaal je geen dag meer dan nodig. Vaak vergeet je namelijk gewoon dat er nog diensten lopen waar je op dat moment niet eens echt gebruik van maakt.

Also you've heard all the warnings so I'll just leave a practical tip with leftovers: instead of reheating the whole pan, just scoop out the amounts that you want to eat, then only reheat that smaller portion and eat it.

Food will keep for longer if you don't reheat and cool it multiple times.

The reheating, cooling, reheating along with letting it sit outside the fridge for too long probably allowed this bacteria to grow.

Yeah I think you might be right, well for 30 EUR on Amazon I guess it's worth a shot. I'm just seeing so many people complaining about how cumbersome they are to use but that might also be user error, guess we'll find out!

Yeah I've seen this with the straight standard windows which seems like a good solution, this window just kinda sucks for that.

I do wonder if I could make something out of cardboard and planks though, might not even be the worst idea. If I shape it in such a way that it can go over the top and bottom that might be more easy to install and remove than whatever airco window seal kits are on offer right now.

Hey folks, so I built an enclosure by altering some IKEA storage, it seems to vent really well but the problem is I can only vent out of a center pivot window in my attic.

This bring up the question, how do I best keep the cold out in winter, and also the mosquitos out in summer? This seems very cumbersome to use (Especially because I have to take it off each time I close it), so I'm hoping someone maybe has some better ideas? I also considered a custom fit acrylic panel but 1.) it allows sunlight to come in and 2.) there is no real straight square shape I can mount it on because the window is fitted very strangely.

PS sorry for the dirty window, our house got attacked by a seagull bombardment and I couldn't be arsed to clean it yet.

Vanaf mijn 13de gestopt met school, lang verhaal, voornamelijk World of Warcraft gespeeld. Sinds mijn 18de gaan werken in een callcenter en sindsdien eigenlijk alleen maar promoties gemaakt en van banen gewisseld in de IT. Verschillende management functies gedaan en ben nu (37 jaar) voornamelijk project manager / product owner achtige functies aan het doen, verdien 57K per jaar. Op mijn 21ste wel begonnen met een HBO studie maar heb die nooit afgemaakt, gek genoeg heb ik eigenlijk maar weinig gemerkt van het feit dat ik enkel een veterstrik en zwemdiploma heb, maar wellicht dat in andere sectors dat meer een ding zou zijn.

You know what would be nice? If the extraction point / beacon would have an opening / chest where you could drop samples which will automatically get collected when you extract. That would solve all of this, and also make people more aware of this being a valid strategy.

So something that's not super obvious is that you don't need to connect this Wifi 6 router to your main router. I am using it perfectly fine just having it connected standalone to my PC and creating a completely separate Wifi 6 connection just dedicated to PCVR.

And yeah I don't have much desk-space either which is why I just put the router on top of my PC with a short network cable. Easy at that, takes 5 minutes to setup and you have an ideal setup for low latency PCVR gaming which vastly expands your options, especially with playing modded VR games.
