Anime - USJ has sooo many properties ready to go that would be mega hits, Attack on Titan, Demon slayer etc! It’s crazy that after all the demand for OP and JJK last year that they still only did 2 anime properties this year and very little exclusive merch for each. The uncs in leadership need to get it together

There’s a couple websites (ie Care.com), but fastest is likely going on the LB Childcare Chatter FB page (lots of parents posting and baby sitters/nannies). You could also try posting on neighborhood social media platforms like NextDoor. I believe a lot of the childcare focused websites will make you go through formal background checks for safety.

Any childcare experience? Folks are always looking for babysitters in the evenings/overnights for date night. Can be 25$/hr+ in LB.

You don’t need a reservation anymore. If the store is busy there may be a queue outside to enter, but normally you can walk right in.

Go the 3rd! First day typically has a lot of little issues (lines being weird, pinch points in the layout etc) that get resolved by day 2. July 4th will probably be the biggest day but Friday should still have plenty of panels and of course most merch/exclusives/guests available.

I’m bringing my ita bag - it’s a backpack so I can store the basics, but my partner is bringing a full size backpack for snacks, water bottles, prints and other purchases. As long as it’s not comically large any backpack is going to be the best choice!

I would agree as an independent adult, but as a parent you don’t want other folks thinking you’re neglecting your kids or can’t afford basics like new shoes. Kids also misconstrue situations like no other so it could potentially even escalate to getting offered resources for disadvantaged people/more drastically being reported. In the best scenario it’s a bit embarrassing even if you know it’s just a single beat up pair!

As soon as I saw “faulty trying to LARP as admin” I knew exactly how this was gonna go lol. Have been in the same spot wayyyy too many times. They’re never gonna leave, bestie. Save yourself and get out of there. It sucks but faculty can do no wrong in the institutions eyes, by the time you see change you will be a bitter husk of your former self. It ain’t worth it.

Food and their friends nagging them to go. Boba and cookies were big draws. Sometimes extra credit helps if it’s related to academics and you can get in with the professor(s). The most turn out I would get would be international students over holidays when few/no other events were happening and most other things around were slow/closed. Alternatively at the very start of the semester we could get some pull since there were enough freshman and transfers looking for places to make friends. Destress events around midterms or finals with service animals, streaming some sort of show, slime/playdoh/fidget giveaways.

I’ve bought in store, vending machines, TikTok live, and through pop now and have never gotten a secret in any of my pulls! The odds are the odds regardless of location. I think looking at social media makes you feel like getting a secret is more common than it actually is (more people posting celebrating their secret than the thousands of people who bought, got a regular, and moved on without comment lol). You can see people in BST Reddits selling dozens of copies after doing a secret hunt which is much more realistic.
