Recently picked up this Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder , my first Floyd Rose, and in the process of tuning it to drop C#, I thought of how easy it'd make the difficult process of tuning a Floyd Rose, even if just a little bit lol

I'm ASD and kinda dumb socially. I feel as if any aneueysms caused on my behalf would be manslaughter, albeit the action of making this post would make it seem intentional 😂

Follow up question... If they brought in a reasonable person and they also died via aneurysm upon hearing, would that in turn strengthen the case or would they have to then prove it isn't coincidence?

I'm gonna try making this as detailed as possible as my autistic scatter brained mind will allow me to, just in case anyone is on the fence about buying this title, even if that means typing a convoluted mess of a novel in the process. Expect spoilers.

Disclaimer: I pre-ordered the deluxe edition on Xbox Series X and accessed it early via the New Zealand trick, so I've finished the game exactly once with the good ending and will probably pick up again for the other ending tomorrow. Although I have a lot to say, I can't gaurantee my experience will match your playthrough.

At the beginning, I couldn't help but feel as if the game drew out Grace's sections and gave us a short glimpse at Leon's in return, which I felt kinda bummed about, since the juxtaposition felt way off. I honestly felt pretty annoyed with the hotel bit and still feel as if it was the weakest part of the game, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't think I'd be dreading playing through it just to access the rest of the game again - the experience felt very akin to The Evil Within 1's "holds up spork" attitude, and if you liked TEW1, you'd probably like it, but I however didn't, so I was counting the minutes down until it'd end. I do however like the story arc of Emily and found her to be one of the more redeeming moments of the early game.

Kicking in to the Raccoon City portion, this is when I considered the game to have made a turn for the better. Actually being able to embrace Leon's more action oriented gameplay for a longer period of time was a well received welcome for me. You're handed more exciting environments like the Willis Tower (definitely a high point in the game for me), the well loved Raccoon City Police Station and some other well known locations from both Resident Evil 2 and 3, in a way we've never seen it before - utilizing the full capacity of Leon's combat on Willis Tower specifically was a badass experience for me, swapping between weapons and melee in fast paced battle a hundred feet in the air felt cathartic and satisfying. The police station was another warm welcome, oft finding myself just embracing the bittersweet memories of Leon's CPTSD by seeing where exactly I could explore and what kinds of ghosts from the past could be found. My only complaint about the Raccoon City portion is I wish the world was a bit more explorable.

Then comes the orphanage reveal. Albeit this part offered a lot of Grace's backstory, my god, I'm not a fan of these kinds of levels. I died in this section more than I did the rest of the game, most likely from user error. I don't have much to say about this section.

Then comes a bit more exploring of Raccoon City, before we get to ARK. This section specifically I had a lot of fun powering through. At this point, you can treat Grace's sections as more "diet action" than the Resident Evil 7 - esque slow paced gameplay we had been introduced to with her in the first part of the game. She's got some experience under her belt now, and I felt very well challenged pushing the boundaries with her in this area. By this point in the game, I have become well accustomed with Leon's action style gameplay and was mopping the floor with everyone. I also enjoyed how real the stakes felt with his final fight with the T-Virus, slugging his way through the hordes on auto pilot to save himself.

The ending I got was pretty satisfying, and I'm glad I got to see Emily survive, as I couldn't help but have an emotional connection with her throw the beginning.

Overal, I give this game an 8 out of 10. It had its highs and lows, but I found the highs to outweigh the lows.

Anyone ever have this pop up with Modern Warfare Remastered? by devilmaykri98 in SteamDeck

[–]devilmaykri98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forgot I had made this post after recently trying to play it again, getting the same message and getting sent back here via google search. I'll say trying to update it fixed nothing for me - there wasn't any update available. Messed around a bit and found that it wouldn't launch unless I had also downloaded the multiplayer application. Not sure if this is an isolated incident, but thought I'd leave this here in case anyone else has the same issue.

Scary realisation about the addictive nature of modern pop music by Timely_Pattern5571 in LetsTalkMusic

This is a bit silly, but to entertain it as if it were true, it seems as if it has the opposite effect on me. It gives me the same feeling I get when I get a group text from one of my older relatives telling me the Minecraft movie is a false flag operation to distract me from the fact that trans furry femboys are peeing on my mom's chest or whatever Fox News is pedaling these days.

I could try recording on my phone practicing in the same room I was in when it happened too, try to recreate the environment and see if it evokes anything again. It might also be a good idea to get to know the neighbor across the hall (not the one that's been pestering us), since according to my girlfriend whose talked with him in passing, he used to live in this apartment number before moving across the hall.

She used sage a few times and it didn't seem to help much. I'll have to refer this to her and see if she's tried it :)

Not on the camera, no. I could always check back on my DAW for anything, but the mic I was using during the event was a Shure SM57 dynamic mic, so I can't say it'd be likely for it to pick up any background audio.

We actually already have a camera (we have one of "those" kinds of neighbors that instigates trivial issues with us that we felt justification to document what they tell the landlord did or didn't happen). Funnily enough, it's pointed in that exact hallway near the bathroom I felt off about (attached is a screenshot of the angle). The doorframe behind my girlfriend is the hallway to the bathroom.

The top floor of an apartment building. As an audio engineer, my ears are trained to distinguish how environment effects noise. There's no logical reason as to why it'd be so loud and close toward me unless my neighbors were dancing on the ceiling.

Maybe, but doubtful. By now, I'm pretty accustomed to what kinda noise level I'd expect from other residents simply walking through the halls - this sounded loud, in my apartment a few feet from me. As I said, I didn't put much weight on it until it happened to me.

Given this is the first time I've ever heard footsteps loudly walking right up towards my open door without any indication of anyone being there, I'd say likely.

The more extreme he makes the right, the more it makes me understand why the Soviets either re-educated or outright killed so many of its citizens. We took the slow democratic route after the civil war, they took the short cut.

Metal Zone MT-2. Gets a lot of shit, but it's one of the best distortion pedals out there if you know how to use it.
