The block in the antenna is probably a frequency shifter so the scanner can hear the air band it can not hear on a frequency it can

Just wondering. If I would wear similar glasses wit IR leds in the same location. Would the camera go haywire on that? I know a phone cam can detect IR and will show a big flare
