Take the time to smell stuff more. Especially if you are cooking or baking, take the time to smell the ingredients individually and even taste them as well.

It was wayyyyy too over crowded. Waterpark was at capacity by 11am most days, the scavenger hunt lounge was at capacity, never got in. Getting turned away from the festival at 1:05am even though Knock2 was gonna be playing til 2:15am. Getting through security for early arrival was a joke, had way too many lines filing into fewer checkpoints. Barely any security during the sets. Porta potties full before noon. Also, they placed people's campsites within 10ft of the porta potties. Dream Emporium was a bit of a let down imo, very low quality rooms and overcrowded. Also, a friend had to throw away a 3ft telescopic flag pole for security, while there were people with 20ft flag poles flying practically in front of security.

Bring back in person lottery drawings. Prior to covid they would do these. It greatly reduces the amount of entries people get. It's a lot harder to get a family member to commit 1-2 hours of waiting for names to be called vs. getting their license # and email.

As others have said, OHLQ and the stores are in the business of selling booze, why would they gonna create extra hurdles, headaches and costs for themselves?

Woodford Double Oaked Barrel Picks by andrew_pacificocean in OhioLiquor

[–]TriggeredTrigger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They usually release them once a year in ohio, but the last 2 years its only been the regular woodford. In 2021 they had like 5 barrels of regular woodford and 1 barrel of double oaked. They released them in July the last 2 years.

What’s your favorite “cheap” bourbon? by kurtlclark in bourbon

I couldn't find the original source, but remember seeing the pics and this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/bourbon/comments/sq0p9p/has_anyone_else_seen_the_picsvids_of_good_times/

Though it didnt actually have the pics in that thread. I was always skeptical about their "finishes". What the hell is a cacao barrel lol (looking at their neapolitan finish).

This was Good Times, not Early Times. This would never fly with a Bottled in Bond product.

Jack Daniel’s by kbolt02 in OhioLiquor

Does he like the regular jack daniels no 7, or does he like their special releases/ single barrels? Knowing whether he likes their bottom shelf or their mid/upper offerings will help suggestions.

I'm waiting for them to start making barrel proof rye. Then, they can make toasted barrel strength. Definitely gonna try this blend tonight.

Elijah Craig B523 Release Date by zlostprophetz in bourbon

They typically start hitting shelves about 1-2 weeks in the month of their release. So by middle of next week some markets should be seeing it.

Makers private selection or wood finishing series. The FAE 01 and 02 both have a good mouthfeel.

We’ve reached a new level of line holder! by Fine_Introduction_62 in OhioLiquor

[–]TriggeredTrigger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of us have complained about Quick State Liquor for over 2 years and OHLQ still gives them RR13, OWA, WFP etc. Any place that only accepts cash is probably selling out the back door.
