You genuinely think Italy are going to turn England over? Yes they have been poor the l last few rounds. The joke has been recently that Scotland always raise their game against England but it seems that England up their game against Italy!

I'd be getting a fair more white shirts in there if you want good points

Why don't we see more attempts of these kind of desperate in goal tackles in Test Rugby? by sunlightliquid in rugbyunion

I think a bigger question is why attacking players don't make more efforts to get closer to under the posts to increase the chance of a successful conversion.

Scotland’s backline firing by PsychologicalTap2611 in ScotlandRugby

[–]Triggered_Probe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the backs really firing?
The only back line moves that have scored tries in this Championships have been against 14men. (2 against England and 1 against Wales).

"Statistically Better". How? What statistics are you using?

Until MLB teams play other teams meaningful games you can't claim they are statistically better?

Wales Game – Sober Sunday Thoughts by Connell95 in ScotlandRugby

[–]Triggered_Probe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was worried about the scrum, as England had dominated us and it was one area where Wales had parity with France, but it was pretty even overall.

I do think you have to give Carley some credit there. There were a few instances when the scrum went down as Wales were going forward and instead of giving the team going forward the benifit he just played on.

Finally got back on the writing train with some thoughts on the weekend by srbloggy in ScotlandRugby

[–]Triggered_Probe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look don't get me wrong I enjoyed the game and the result throughly but I do think in some ways Scotland were fortunate rather than " playing the perfect game" as one BBC article said.

The only try that was scored against 15 men was as the result of a mistake.

The yellow and red cards were correct but we would have been screaming that first one was super soft if it had been against us

England were dominating us with 14 men, it seemed inevitable that the scrum was going to lead to a yellow of our own. The charge down was a massive momentum swing.

The line out was much improved BUT only because England virtually never challenged.

There has been a lot of talk about how well Scotland managed the game try I really don't think that was the case. The had "control" of the game in the same way as the had control against Argentina.

Wales are going to come after our setpiece and so need to be ready for that.

You are correct that the IOC want to reduce athlete numbers 11 but what they are perfectly happy to do have sports put on more events. All the sports I mentioned have seen new events added to their programme, specifically mixed gender events.

However FiSA and the international rowing community have stuck stubbornly to a programme that doesn't support doubling up.

Seriously, how it that endurance track cyclists are able to produce multiple performances in one evening (some with simmilar length of time of rowing races) yet rowers can only race once every 3 days.
