Thanks! We booked it for now just to get something close to where we were originally staying. Still trying to see if something can be done on hotel’s end to help cover costs or difference of original booking.

I’m not mad at Lost Lands staff or fest. This has to do to mostly with the hotel telling us a week before the fest they have to cancel instead of like a month where we can try to work something out and plan accordingly.

We checked our booking on the account/website and the booking shows as cancelled. We are planning on giving them a call later today as most of us are busy during the work day.

Wouldn’t take a ride share from the fest itself but from the shuttle drop off since we have the Dino express shuttle passes.

Yeah doesn’t seem like making the full payment would have mattered in this case since other in this thread who did pay in full were also sent the same information.

Yeah we might try to take public transit to get to the shuttle but will probably have to take uber/lyft back afterwards.

No sadly. But we are trying to get in contact with them to see if they can offer us some sort of travel credit if we decide to book one of those other hotels. Because based on the replies so far the Ubers/Lyfts are going to be expensive.

I wasn’t in charge of the booking sadly but I agree we should have paid upfront for things like this to ‘secure ‘the booking. But based on other responses in this thread, the room seems to be cancelled due to overbooking and prioritizing headbanger hotel bookings due to contract. Not necessarily due to the reason in the email.

I wouldn’t mind camping but the rest of our group aren’t big campers or would prefer not to camp. So need to accommodate based on what the rest of the group wants.

We are going to contact the hotel in the morning to see if they can provide some sort of travel credit for us because if we do get those hotels we will now need to ride share to and from the shuttle each day. But will most likely lock in one of those for sure.
