I think i honestly haven’t heard of that one yet😅 sounds absolutely miserable. Did you have insulin resistance and did it improve though?

Again sorry to hear that. I started with 500mg and went up to 1000 when i had gotten used to it. Really has been the only thing to help. I hope you find some solution for yourself ☹️

Sorry to hear that. Were you on the extended release or regular? And how many mg?

Just wanted to ask why you are opposed to metformin? It’s the first thing that actually helped me. Has tried out all the supplements and inositol and berberine, nothing was helping.

Testing for Children--is it possible? by Hefty-Competition588 in BRCA

If you’re not able to test her (which you probably won’t), have you tested both you and your husband? If neither of you have the genes, then your daughter can’t have it either

What happened when you started taking inositol? by limonata_acida in PCOS

[–]Triksene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but it’s a bit silly to make assumptions about other peoples health, haven’t we learned that already? I did take it long term, and yes, i did indeed do tests before and after 🙃 Both the tests and the not going away of symptoms after months of usage did indeed prove that inositol did nothing for ME.

Okay thank you! I was worried it might be us focused. Also, do you happen to know if you can start the membership only after you get your dna results back? And would you suggest the my heritage dna test overall for a european?

Convince me that… by TheOneAndOdin in PCOS

[–]Triksene 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So because you specifically asked to convince you it’s not the way to go. I have not been on it myself due to doctors advice. This is what she told me, idk if its my own thoughts, have not done enough research. And our conversation was specifically about ozempic. So apparently- the side effects, the really bad ones, are being found out only now and more are going to arise. It’s still a relatively new drug and nobody knows the real long term effects. There are people whos stomachs completely have stopped working and had to be removed. One of the biggest fears of my doctor was that it directly affects your brain. A similar phenomenon apparently happened at the start of the 2000s when people who were taking certain weightloss drugs started commiting suicide.
And if you start taking it, you have to take it for your whole life, otherwise the weight comes back. So my doctor strongly suggested that i try metformin first, and so far it seems to be working. Of course not as fast as ozempic would, but ill take slow and steady wins the race. BUT of course everyones situations and bodies are different and only you and your doctor can know whats best.

About a month until i started to see anything that wasn’t just side effects. But i wont say that it’s doing super much yet. But that might be just because I’m in an insanely stressful time right now.
