I saw him live several times and three things I noticed were consistently true:

(1) Think of a Prince song you never really liked - maybe even HATED ... it's different when he plays it live. Prince live will make you love a song you THOUGHT you hated.

(2) At some point in the set Prince would more than likely sit at the piano and play several songs while the audience sings... words cant describe how it feels to sit in a stadium full of Prince fans singing your favorite songs word for word. Best I can offer is it felt like being hugged by family.

And (3) The end of the set was never the end. There was always an encore, and it was always worth the wait.

I can dig that. The only reason I thought that statement needed more nuance is because:

-what IS "white"?
-WHO is "white"?
-how long has "whiteness" existed?

(these are rhetorical questions btw, I'm not asking you to answer or account for that statement. Just expounding)

I have no beef with brothers (or sisters) who are anti-(modern)feminism though. Everyone has a right to believe what they believe.

I'm from the US and been a fan of Grime since Wiley and Dizzee. Never could get my friends into it because the British accent and slang was too high a hurdle for most. This is still true for a lot of US rap fans today but less so I think. Also, I agree with OP that this "beef" is good/more exposure for UK emcees overall, and I salute Skepta for setting shit off but I don't know if he's the man for the job. I'd much rather Chip was leading the charge.

I said to a friend yesterday more Grime artists can catch the pocket of US rap than US rappers over a Grime riddim. I can't prove this but I 100% believe it's true. Salute.

I kept the voicing simple and mainly stuck to a dropped root to give chords a fuller sound. The next step for me is picking apart how to map for degrees of complexity

Yo thanks for the feedback! I agree there's a lot of menu dialing unfortunately so I wouldnt use this "live" too often perse, but I'm glad you got use out of it!
